A couple of updates...

The new owners of Dorothea's have ordered bike-themed Christmas ornaments just in time for the vent.

The Murer House will have 15 parking spaces available, at $25, with in and out privileges.

thanks, Steve. and those Murer House spaces have to be reserved in advance.  We want to be good neighbors, so we don't want people driving into the neighborhood looking for parking.  People can PM me if they are interested.

Oh nice!  The wife will be glad to hear this.

Trying to figure this out if anyone can help. The community
center website says: Light Rail -- Visitors to Folsom are strongly encouraged to take light rail directly to the Historic Folsom Station, the front door to the festival.

We are trying to get right down to the end of Sutter
because we have dancers doing a dance for the event. Wondering if we can ride light rail from
Iron Point to the end in Historic Folsom. The statement from above makes it seem like it....but I'm confused and can't seem to
find the answer on the www.sacrt.com site....anyone know?

Thanks!

Yes, my understanding is that light rail will be running to Sutter Street. Should be the perfect way to get there! Good luck with the dance!

Why don't you move your car the night before?

yeah right. lemme move my car all the way to work the night before, walk home then the next day walk to work and when i get off work sit around until the roads open to get home.

You can't move it around the corner so that you can get to it?

The road should be open until 9 am and open again at 4 pm. Most commuters should be fine, but you are probably among the most inconvenienced, .sypermom. It's true,

Running across Folsom Lake Crossing today, I saw some of the pro riders with their chase cars, as well as many amateurs checking out the course.

Sound advice.

Don't see why that cannot be done, but you'll probably get scolded for being mean to suggest such a thing.  Heck she already thinks you told her to move her car all the way to her work.

Took mom and aunt to Karen's for early Mom's Day lunch today and saw that it'll be open Monday for the big event. But, you'll have to make reservations . . .

for $200 per seat!

Has anyone found info that approximates the time that the riders will be at various points during todays ride, specifically those possible viewing places near Folsom.  I've looked at the web pages for Amgen finding only the route maps with out any times to reach various points.  I estimate it will be bat 3/4 done by Prairie City at White Rock/Scott, around 1:30 to 2:00??

Is the order for the time trials available anywhere?

I don't think you are looking at the right map. I don't think they are going to be on White Rock Road or Scott.

They will be going up Folsom/Auburn road to the north and then go across the new Folsom Crossing bridge, on out on Natoma somewhere and return to old town Folsom.

Look at the map earlier on this subject.

Read through all of the earlier items...

HERE IS THE ROUTE:

• Rainbow Bridge and Folsom Lake Crossing will be closed

• Lake Natoma Crossing will be limited to one lane per direction

• Folsom-Auburn Road will be limited to one southbound lane only (no northbound traffic)

• East Natoma Street will be closed between Folsom Lake Crossing and Blue Ravine

• Green Valley Road will be closed between the County line and East Natoma Street

• Riley Street, Sutter Street and Leidesdorff Street in the Historic District will all be closed.
