I am planning a date night for me and my husband and I can't think of anything in Folsom besides a movie. If anyone has any good date night ideas here in Folsom I would appreciate your input. This will be our first date night out since having our first baby, so I want to make the most of it. Thanks!

If you want to have a lot of fun, you should go Bowling at Folsom Lake Bowl, maybe have a drink or glass of wine. If you haven't heard the bowling center has been completely remodeled and on Friday & Saturday nights there is glow bowling with a DJ and it's a lot of fun! There is also a DJ in the Sports Bar on Friday & Saturday nights! Hope you guys have a great night out!

Sutter St Theater is fun. Everything else on Sutter St is either eating or drinking or watching bands, which is fine if that's what you like.

I've been to a few plays at small theaters in Sac like B Street and Big Idea. I always find them fun.

The drive-in in Rancho is a hoot.

Cougar football games.

FLB is fun.

No telling from the Internet, but if you're still young enough to ironically go to teenager places, mini golf (Rancho or Roseville) or gokarts.

I don't know when your proposed date night is, what your taste in music is, or whether tickets are still available............... but B. B. King is performing at the Sacramento Community Center on Nov. 13. :2thumbsup:

(I know... it's not Folsom, but we're talking B. B. KING.)

There's a place on Sutter/Wool that you can do paint on canvas (instructor led), BYO wine/beer is encouraged. I think this would be fun.

Friday night, Sutter Street is having its first "First Friday" - lots of deals throughout Sutter Street.

Hey Laura, Congrats on your first night out! Back when my eldest was a baby, we got paged at the restaurant (this was before everyone had cell phones), and had to leave in the middle of dinner to rescue our terrified and screaming child. I hope yours goes better!

Here are a few suggestions:

* Wine Lover's Walk (I just made that up) on Sutter: Start at the Wine Gallery, then down to the Wine Cellar and end at Wine Styles. Lots of shops and a few restaurants to visit along the way.

* Dinner and a play - Go to the Sutter St Theater to see 'Witness for the Prosecution', then to Chicago Fire for pizza in a great atmosphere

* Get Down Tonight (just made that one up too): Dance the night away to live music and dj's at Powerhouse, Scarlet's and Folsom Hotel.

* Visit Palladio - Tour the new Whole Foods, stop at their Bier Garden, dinner at Blunami Sushi or Johnny Rockets, grab some Pinkberry yogurt and stroll around and see the new art installations.

* Dinner, and a Show at Three Stages - They really do have diverse programming there, the theater is beautiful, and you can hit Land Ocean or Fat's for a nice meal before (Land Ocean also has late happy hour).

Just outside of town, Town Center area in Eldo Hills is a fun stroll with lots of dining options and usually live music at one of the restaurants.

And of course, there's always a movie!

Have fun, and let us know what you end up doing.

Redhawk Casino is fun. They have bands every night, drink specials, lose or win some money. lol

We went to Tommy T's Comedy Club in Rancho a few weeks back with another couple and had a great time.

Oh ya, Vista Football tonight! My son is on the JV team. Go Vista Eagles!

I would tell you to come see my band play, but we are off this weekend. Will be at Jan's Lounge on Greenback soon.
Go out and support local music!

...just a few different suggestions than you already have.

If you go the movie route, I highly recommend the drive-in off Bradshaw, especially if you have an SUV or mini-van. Park backwards and build a "nest" with pillows and blankets (and thermarests) for maximum comfort, warmth and snuggling. Fun/romantic, regardless of the flick. Bring snacks and (adult) bevs. Careful though... you might end up preggo again :P

Other ideas:

How about an art class? http://www.folsom.ca...bID=15819#page= (I'm sure you can find a fun 1-day "class")

A couples cooking class? http://www.goodeatscookingclasses.com/

Then there's log rolling in Rancho!: http://www.swimstitu...logrolling.html (This is our next date nite :2thumbsup: )

The observatory in Placerville is really fun. We have been there several times, with our kids, but I can see it would be a great date night. Go out to eat, then up to see some stars at the observatory. Besides enjoying an evening outside looking at the galaxy, you always learn something.

Hey! I'm a couple years late, but I figured if anyone came across this forum, I could help.

I send out a weekly email with date ideas found throughout Sacramento.  Check out Date Night XO
