There looks like there's two going at the same time up on the high side of Rockport Circle - lots of fire truck & helicopter activity.

Anyone know if it's structures or the fields? I can see the helicopters dumping water from my window - but can't tell if it's on a house or not.

No - it's gray. I don't think it's a house - I think it's *next* to or right behind that big Adams Family looking house on Rockport at the top of the loop

I've never heard of a helicopter being used to put out a house fire.

Hope they get this under control quickly!

Channel 3 just showed the fire. Grass fire very very close to 3 or 4 homes. Homes seemed ok from the video

Here's some photos, it was right across the street from me. No structures burned that I can tell, but it was awefully close!

Thanks! It's the third time that hillside has burned since I've lived here, and no houses have burned yet. So I'd agree, Folsom FD is doing a pretty good job!

Cool pics, especially the helicopter water drop. I saw it on my way home with my son, we detoured into lexington hills to get a better look and an idea where it actually was, we stopped at the kids park that is like a fort, then turned around and headed home.
I would rather be Backpacking

Thats really close to my house--we were at the movies and missed all the excitement. Glad no one was hurt.

I know your comment was meant in the best possible way, and my sarcasm meter isn't working too well since you added the smiley face at the end of your post. biggrin.gif

But you know that complimenting the camera and not the photographer is a really big insult to people who take photography seriously?

(I've got to assume tracknut does since he's done some post-processing and added a watermark to his photos)

So um... "Good composition and great job catching the feel of the moment!"

No worries, I get the "must be a good camera" comment, and mentally translate it. Folks aren't saying it with any bad intent, for sure!

And yes, I make my income from photography, so as it happens I do have a good camera.
