So the guy that could not improve FC and then helped it into bankruptcy is restarting the chain. I would expect him to repeat his business model once again.

Or knowing the books, he may know which locations were profitable and which weren't.

Actually he singlehandedly ran them into the ground.

 

I used to work for Fresh Choice. When he took over post bankruptcy they still had 30+ locations. He opened a few new ones, all of which closed within 6 months to a year. They declared bankrtuptcy twice in several years under him and went out of business.

 

He then resurrected it as California Fresh. They opened back up 11. Over the last few months:

- Their website has gone to crap

- They got rid of their facebook page

- Service + food has gotten even worse

- They just closed 5 of the 11 restaurants they ressurected

 

He singlehandedly ran this into the ground.

The sad part is I offered them free help (web, marketing, hell anything they really needed) because I love Fresh Choice. They wouldn't even take help.

Not surprising. I haven't been to one in years.

 Me either. I used to like it but buffet type places really encourage over-eating and I DO NOT need any outside encouragement!
