You're going to have the baby tomorrow and that' final. Then he will share the day with me, Bette Midler, Woody Allen and Richard Pryor. You'll be laughing your butt off for the rest of your life with him in tow!

Well, everyone was wrong!

Unless I go into spontaneous labor today or tomorrow, (which it doesn't seem like I will at this point, due to the fact that she's moving backwards), then we have a C-section scheduled for Sunday. I pushed for Saturday (CDUB's birthday!), but they were booked.

So, this means The Jelly will share her birthday with the likes of:

Monica Seles, James Willis, Lucy Liu, Stone Philips, Gianni Versace and, oh. No. Nonono! Brittney Spears?!?! ACK! Maybe I should change the day! Or maybe I'll go into Spontaneous labor tomorrow.

(Sorry, Mylo, about the five bucks.)

Doctors said the same thing about my little one. Guess what--I went into labor the day before the appointment.

Howver, I still think you are gonna go into labor today.

I can believe that you will be traveling to the hospital by late evening.

My prognostication is a baby arrival after 8:39 pm.

But if the baby is actually holding out on you--I strongly suggest a triple dry martini for hubby--this evening --as he is definitely gonna be pulling his weight in household duties this next week or so--if you get a C-section.

Oy'--three cheers to ring in the new baby!!

I would love it if you were right! I was seriously pulling for the whole "go into labor after your doctor's appointment thing". Just doesn't even seem close to happening right now.

And hey, you're right on the time anyway! 12/2 IS after 8:39 p.m. hahahah

I did that earlier in the week and while it did bring on contractions, the doctor said they are called "nuisance" contractions. How freakin' appropriate for how much trouble they gave us on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I am heading out to do a boatload of shopping though, so maybe walking around stores will do the trick.

When I was Prego--the doctor told me to take a nap after a long-long walk then get up and take a hot bath.
It worked!!

Only thing tho-make sure you got someone in the house with you/ it sure is hard to get out of the tub at that point!!

Really? Wow. I thought that since I'm already dilated (even just a little bit) that the bath option was out now, due to infection risk. Huh, mabye I'll try your suggestion tonight, then. I wonder if it will work if I skip the nap. Or combine the nap and the bath. hahah

When I was sent home from L&D, my OB nurse sister's recommendation was to take a warm bath. If your water hasn't broken, the bath is OK.

That's it. I'm walking, napping and bathing tonight! I was DYING for a bath the other night and didn't do it because I thought I wasn't allowed.

Yay, bath!
