I am posting this question for my wife, as she is very interested
to know how many KB homeowners in the Prairie City area had gone
through a leaking shower faucet problem as we just did recently.

We just paid ~$260 to a technician for replacing a valve on our
Delta 1400 series shower faucet due to a leaking problem.

The technician told us that he had done the same work in our
neighborhood for quite a few people during the past few months,
and all of them are KB home owners. He mentioned that Dealta
products are usually good, but for some reason these 1400 model
products installed in KB homes were broken more easily. The
technician wondered if KB home bought a bulk of cheap or defective
products from Delta when building these homes. The worst thing is,
he also mentioned that it's very likely that we might need to
replace it again in every few years.

Since Delta advertises a "lifetime warranty" on their products
on thier website, we tried to contact Delta for their lifetime
warranty policy but never received any email reply from them.

We would like to learn how many people went through a similar
problem. If this occurred to too many people, we should
consider getting a response from KB home or Delta.

Regards

We have a KB home in Prairie Oaks as well, but have not experienced that problem yet. As much as I love my home, I know K&B cut some corners when building our house. I think the house has a 10-year warranty on most of the house. Unfortunately customer service at K&B is spotty at best.

Good luck - I'll keep an eye on my faucets, sounds like we may run in to this soon too.

We also had a leaky shower in the master bath - also a Delta - not sure what model. I stopped it by tightning the cap right behing the shower handle. That lasted about a month. Wound up replacing the rubber washers. They cost $2 at OSH.

Just before Christmas we noticed a water stain on the ceiling in the family room right under one of the vanities in the master bath. Checked our KB warrenty and found plumbing is only warrented for 2 years and we have been in the home for 4yrs. We submitted a claim anyway. They sent a contractor 3 days after we called and opened the ceiling. They found the water pipes or drain were not leaking but saw a water stain trail and followed it up through the attic to the up stairs fire place vent on the roof. They said it had not been sealed correctly and fixed the problem. So far, so good. Hope it is permanently fixed.
