MARK YOUR CALENDARS- FALL 2014 BOOK SALE
What:  Shop for incredible bargains in 1000s of gently used books, audio books, videos, CDs and much more in both children and adult materials.  All proceeds directly benefit the Friends of the Folsom Library, a 100% non-profit organization.
Where:  Folsom Public Library’s Georgia Murray Building Meeting Room at 411 Stafford Street.
When:  September 12-14, 2014  (Friday-Sunday)
Early Bird Sale:  Friday, September 12, held 5-8:00 p.m., admission $5.00 per person (including children 12 and older).
General Sale:  Saturday and Sunday, September 13+14, from
9a.m. to 4:00 p.m., admission FREE.   Fill a bag for only $5.00 on “Bargain Sunday”.

Tom Dillon - "How Risk and Luck Shaped a Successful Career in the Computer Information Science Industry"
Wednesday, October 1, 2014, 7:00-9:00pm, El Dorado Center, Community Room (C-102)
Tom Dillon is the former Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at Netflix. In the shadows of computer wizards like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates there exist soldiers that led the charge in the co-development of computers and information technology. During the past 50 years, Tom Dillon has been a part of this extraordinary evolution being in top management positions in more than a dozen companies which include Netflix, Seagate, Honeywell and Chegg to name a few. His overwhelming management success contributed to Netflix becoming a world leader in DVD rent-by-mail - a one billion dollar internet business that grew 60% per year. Don't miss this incredible opportunity ot hear the fascinating story of Tom Dillon's dynamic career as he participated in the development of information technology materials that had significant impact in human societies. The event is hosted by Biology Professor Mike Denega and the El Dorado County Career Technical Partnership SB70 Sustainability Team.
