I believe the one in SF is attached to the observatory, that is either in fog or very clear.. installing such a beast in the polluted populated Sacramento valley would be a waste of resources. Go to Hawaii instead wink.gif

The Planetarium is a domed theater. The weather doesn't matter.

They put on educational shows on the planets, stars, solar system, etc.

They used to do a show called Laserium, which inolved dancing lasers in creative patterns, set to a wide range of music, from Strauss to Pink Floyd.

I took my wife to see it on our first date, November 1975.

I thought it was attached to an observatory.. but I may be mixing my childhood space exploration activities. I do remember watching the Pink Floyd laser show though wink.gif

The Pink Floyd show was awesome as was the one set to classical.

A place like the Laserium would pack them in. I think that's what I was initially thinking. Elliot Homes should look into something like this for the new mall (alleged to happen this decade).

The new mall is "under construction". I believe a lot of people feel no action is happening there, but it is actually moving! Perhaps not visible buildings yet, but those are easy compared to the prep work!

I seriously doubt a laserium would be financially viable in any suburb. Perhaps somewhere downtown or midtown (near the hookah bar), would get a bit more customer rotation. It's not really the type of thing you go to every Friday night.

Yeah, folsom lacks an over-priced crappy salad bar.
I, too, would love to see a Fresh Choice in Folsom. I agree it isn't the best (I prefer Sweet Tomatoes), but it's the best around that I know of. Sounds like you know of a better one -- how about sharing?

OK, what is a real mexican restaurant? There's a carneceria on Greenback behind Adlabertos (a real mexican restuarant in this socal boy's opinion)

A REAL mexican restaurant is delicious, cheap, and spicey. You also can't drink the water or eat the lettuce.

Ironically though the best two mexican restaurants I have ever been in was in Palm Springs and Indio, CA. The former wasn't technically authentic as it had the freshest meat I have had in my entire life...... wish I remembered the name. Oh well, it was too hot to go back for, even if you pick up the tab on the giant margatetas

Dave & Busters..... now I might put aside my "no/slow growth" attitude for one of their cheese steaks eat.gif

As far as sq-footage, we could say NO to another walmart, obviously they will have space.
