A great article in today's (Sept. 7) Sac Bee . . .

About 'freecyclers' - - people who GIVE away things they don't need anymore, to people who want them. Now, that's a nice friendly thing to do.

The article suggests you go to eBay and set up a local community for free exchange of items, but we have a site here already.

Anybody game?

Some 'valuables' I have to give away

1. 8x10-foot carpet, good condition.
2. Metal security door, good condition
3. Free firewood.
4. Ceramic (clay?) water-garden pool. It once contained water lilies, etc.
It weighs about 400 lbs, so if you want it, bring 4-6 strong guys and a pickup truck.
(Gee, CyberDraino looks buffed, we could recruit him!)

I thought that was an interesting article. I have a single jogging stroller in excellent condition that I would like to trade for a double jogging stroller.

I'm also interested in swapping free fruit for jelly/preserves. Especially pomegranates. I used to have a friend who would give me free pomegranates and I would make the most delicious jelly for Christmas. My friend moved and it's too expensive to buy them at the store (you need at least 20 for a batch of jelly). Of course I would be willing to pick them myself.

I have several Lexmark color inkjet printers ( Z11, Z31, Z53 and more) if anyone is interested. I keep upgrading so have 5 or 6 laying around. Also a Brother MFC Laser fax/ BW scan and printer.
Any takers ?

Another great  day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

Ok here are a few more items to give away

1. Western Horse Saddle with pad and reins - Saddle is full leather black with a white seat. Good condition. Make sure it goes to a good home as I have had it for 30 years since I sold my horses.

2. Entry level BIC Windsurfer ( I will verify it is complete this weekend as it too is from my younger years in the 80s but is in very good condition.

3. GONE - excercise Bike

PM or email me

The web site is

freecycle.org

A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

Since there is not a Freecycle group in or near Folsom, Might as well list things here. Who knows maybe if enough interest, we can get one set up in the future, but till them. lets use this forum.
