Curfew, No Driving And Gun/ammo/alcohol Ban For....snow

What I find troubling, is that when I might need my guns most (a real state of emergency), I would be prohibited from having them with me if I leave my house. And no sales of alcohol? On superbowl weekend? What purpose does this serve? Basically, the residents were held hostage in their own homes by an arbitrary "emergency" declaration for snow!
Surely you can see the potential issues laws like this raise...

Hence my distress. See, many of our constitutionally guaranteed rights fly right out the window once a state of emergency is declared. While that may indeed be a proper response in an actual emergency, the arbitrary nature of when one can declare such an emergency and the mandated governmental responses that follow regardless of common sense are deeply troubling to me.

The law shouldn't be changed by a vote of the people, it should be struck down as it is in violation of our constitution. The bill of rights can not be subjugated during "states of emergency".

Yeah, I wonder what FFG would say if he was still around. I know he would deny that there are those who still want to take our guns away from us, despite continual evidence like this that pops up.

He would probably wonder how old the law was.

Are you sure? Withe the exceptions provided the executive branch on war powers and with such protections as habeas corpus in a time of war, it doesn't seem that much of a stretch to also allow the similar in states of emergency. Isn't marshal law an option still in such circumstances. It would have the same temporary result on the Bill of Rights, don't you think?
Are there any lawyers around here?

Or are there any Frogs around here....?
Sing to me baby! ...Ribbit!
For some species of frogs, only the males sing. Other types of frogs appear to have both male and female calls.
Large frogs have DEEP voices, meaning they call at a low frequency.
Small frogs sing in high chirps, meaning they call at a high frequency.
Cold frogs repeat their calls at a slower rate because the muscles controlling the sounds slow down!
Why do frogs sing? Well...it's actually for a variety of reasons!
Sometimes, frogs sing when they are trying to attract a mate. "HEY! Baby!"
Sometimes, frogs sing to mark their territory. "This is MY Lilypad!"
Sometimes, frogs sing because they know the weather is going to change. "Rain!!!"
Sometimes, frogs squeek when they are frightened or hurt. "Ouch! Eek!"

I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me, especially under marshall law, the 2nd ammendment is more important. Marshall law should only be declared if we are under attack, it would behoove our nations security if the civilians could also shoot back. In a state of emergency when the police can not come to the rescue, it's even more important that civilians can use their weapons for self defense. Please explain how or why there should be any such law that deprives me of my right to protect my life, my families life, etc from harm during an emergency. Why on earth when I might need it most, should my 2nd ammendment rights be violated.
I look forward to your well thought out explanation.

Wait a second, I thought you were banned too Chris! I guess not... I just figured that starting 15 consecutive threads about climategate was in some way a violation of the forum rules. I guess not...
So what's next on your debunking agenda? 1+1=2? 3He and 4He, having 1 neutron and 2 neutrons respectively?
