I don't think anyone dissed the place. I think we just said it is more of a pizza place for kids than an italian restaurant.

a children's play area in a restaurant? it's a pizza place that sounds like Chuckie Cheese blended with round table.

Actually I was just basing my comment on 4thgen's.

I still think its sounds like a chuckie cheese. is there something wrong with that? a kid's pizza place? I still wouldn't classify it as an italian restaurant.

Ummmm, not even close to an italian restaurant.

Italian restaurants DON'T serve chicken wings!

how about Tuscany Rosemary wings?

I grew up on Skipolini's in the Bay Area and have very fond memories of it. We had many Little League end of season parties there, and it was always a special treat to order pizza from them (it is more expensive...but high quality). I've been to the Rocklin location once and the ambiance was definitely more Italian restaurant and less pizza parlor than the Skip's I grew up going to, but one difference I loved about Rocklin was the fact that they had gelato. I hope the Folsom location does too; we'd probably frequent it for that alone, if not for dinner.

And like a previous poster, I welcome any business that fills up some of these empty buildings around town!

We went to the Rocklin location today. We thought it was like an Olive Garden. The food was fine - nothing great, but not bad, but it was pretty expensive. $40 for two adults and two kids - salads for adults with water to drink, and pizza and milk for the kids.

I think it will be a fine addition, but nothing to get too excited about. I would rather see a Buca di Beppo, though.

with 2 kids on the way

Wow, you must be already going through the pizza.

I had one, twice. And for the record, when pregnant--I could nicely go through about half a pizza.

I can't imagine how much one needs to eat to grow two little monsters in their belly.

Poor mommy. I'm rooting for ya. Let me know if you need something.

Thanks! I actually feel great. I am blessed to be tall with a long torso so it has been realtivley easy for me. This is my first pregnancy, so I wasnt' sure what to expect, but it's really been a fun experience. :P
And yes, I'll be sure to post pictures of my Twinkies when they arrive! :D:

Twins tend to come early, but if mine take after me and are stubborn, I'll have to check it out! Though it won't be open in time, will it?

It looks more along the likes of Strings or a small step below with a small kid focus. I agree, it looks like a perfectly fine business especially when compared to a vacant building.
