I don't find it the least bit odd, unusual, or creepy. I think in today's world, it's normal and to be expected.

It only takes seconds. I just did a web search on him, and there are quite a few links to pages featuring info about him. If someone looks me up, I don't find it odd at all.

I dunno, its prolly just me, but it would never cross my mind to search facebook to find more info about a person in the news who got a DUI, especially someone I still consider a kid.

Maybe I'm just biased because I know the professor is a strange infrequent poster who usually only posts one line fly bys when he wants to create controversy.

Such as starting this thread - I think it's the first one he's ever started, and based on his record of disliking sports at FHS, I assume he only posted it to further disparage the sports program and anyone associated with it. Course that's just an assumption I could be wrong (but we all know I'm not).

The way I see it, everyone makes mistakes. It's a good thing it happened while he was young and hopefully this will change his life for the better.

Folsom Telegraph

Tyler Trosin, 18, of Folsom arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 3:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of Riley Street. Booked into Sacramento County Jail.

Maybe he should have committed to Oregon instead of Oregon State.

Does this make you happy this happened?

I see your point. I first started doing this back when I was involved in the parent drug and alcohol awareness forums here in town. We were working with cops and FBI agents on subjects including online predators and drug abuse.

The cops advised us to look up our kids' friends on myspace (there was no Facebook back then) to see who they were, what kinds of things they posted about themselves and the photos they displayed. I learned a lot about my kids' friends that way.

Today, lots of employers are known to do the same.

When I saw the name of the kid who got arrested, I googled him to see who he was.

I do hope that he has gotten it out of his system and realizes how much he's risking; his safety, his future, reputation, etc.

Nice try. My son went to Folsom High with Tyler and showed me his Facebook page. I have started numerous threads but the content was probably to complex for you to follow.
