Nunes, the California Republican and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has uncovered no potential wrongdoing in his three-and-a-half-page memo, which was declassified Friday over vehement objections from senior F.B.I. and Justice Department officials.

The Steele Dossier was originated by a REPUBLICAN rival to Trump during the primaries.

The DNC took over the financing later, when Turnip became the nominee.

So what? Doesn't alter the facts found in the dossier.

DEMS ARE DIRTY PEOPLE:  Typical Democrats.. if you can't win fairly, then employ all the corruption and criminality that you can come up with. Sadly for America, too many people are too ignorant and/or are too uber-partisan to comprehend what happened in totality on this issue. When you attempt to subvert an election, you should be tried on sedition and treason charges. And in the good 'ol days you'd be hung or shot. Let's all hope that Trey Gowdy will re-appear in a leading role with the DOJ or FBI... then you scumbag Dems will really have reason to panic... including Obama, Hillary & Co. The rebuttal focuses on four key points having to do with the legal underpinnings of the GOP-produced document:

• That Nunes’ memo fails to demonstrate that the government lacked enough evidence beyond a dossier from former British spy Christopher Steele to obtain a FISA warrant on Page.
• That Steele’s expertise on Russia and organized crime would have outweighed any concerns a FISA court would have had about the funding of Steele’s work by partisan actors — funding sources that Steele may not have even known about.
• That Nunes’ memo “provides no credible basis whatsoever” for removing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversees the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller.
• That Nunes’ memo shows that Republicans “are now part and parcel to an organized effort to obstruct” Mueller’s probe.

I dunno Vin. While I agree that the memo is less than explosive. It seems to me a pretty clear case can be made for the reps position. I say release more of the supporting docs if what you say is true.

 

This is what we KNOW for FACT. The Obama administration weaponized the DOJ, the EPA and the IRS. Those agencies have dragged their feet on responding to requests for information from Congress (when they just didn't outright destroy/"lose" the requested information). In essence, they have ALREADY impeded Congressional investigations into their activities. Congress is supposed to have oversite.

We know that Steele prepared a dossier under funding from the DNC. We also know he really, really didn't want Trump to be President.

We know that the prime investigator into Clinton was a huge fan who spoke openly about how to soften the investigation. he also spoke openly about hating Trump. He rewrote the Comey statement to avoid (accurate) descriptions of what she did. 

We know that blanket immunity was given to Clinton aides in return for nothing.

We know Hillary was not under oath when interviewed, her "immune" staff was present, and no recordings were made.

We know after AG Holder was held in contempt of Congress, his replacement met with Bill Clinton a day before it was to come out that Comey was not seeking charges

We know that Comey drafted his exoneration memo months before interviews were even made.

In essence, we know the fix was in on Hillary.

We know the Steele dossier was linked to Fusion GPS as oppo research.

We know that Bruce Orrs wife worked for Fusion GPS

We know Andrew McCabes wife received 700k from the DNC

We know high level FBI were speaking openly about insurance policies to prevent a Trump administration

We know the Steele dossier was at least partially responsible for the FISA warrant against Carter page (who has never had ANY charges filed against him)  Page has requested that the FISA warrant be available to him under FOIA, but has been denied since last may.

 

Given ALL that, can you honestly say that your bs detector is not pegging the needle?

Using government agencies and agents (weaponized them) for political purposes against your political opponents.  Think of the 9 years it took for Tea Party folks to get their "permits" for tax exemptions from the IRS.  Think Loretta Lynch meeting Bill Clinton on that tarmac in Phoenix "by chance" to maybe clear up that little Hillary thing....?
