Since there seems to be much discussion about autism, how valid are the concerns about the 18 month shots contributing/ causing autism? Has anyone else heard about this or had this concern?

When we got the shots for our daughter, my wife and the nurse were both crying (the nurse had a daughter the same age and had the same concern).
