The Trump administration on Tuesday will propose a rule to tighten food stamp restrictions that would cut about 3.1 million people from the program, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) officials said.

Currently, 43 U.S. states allow residents to automatically become eligible for food stamps through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, known as SNAP, if they receive benefits from another federal program known as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or TANF, according to the USDA.

But the agency wants to require people who receive TANF benefits to pass a review of their income and assets to determine whether they are eligible for free food from SNAP, officials said.

If enacted, the rule would save the federal government about $2.5 billion a year by removing people from SNAP, according to the USDA.

President Donald Trump has argued that many Americans now using SNAP do not need it given the strong economy and low unemployment, and should be removed as a way to save taxpayers as much as $15 billion.

"Some states are taking advantage of loopholes that allow people to receive the SNAP benefits who would otherwise not qualify and for which they are not entitled," USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue told reporters on a conference call on Monday.

Remember kids, Pres Obama added 22 million people to the food stamps program. These were not the poorest Americans, because those 25 million were already on food stamps. He added the NEXT 22 million who did not need food stamps before he came along. Getting those 22 million back to supporting themselves is a GOOD thing.

We jumped from 8% of the entire population on the program, up to 15%. Got that? They want 1 in 7 people (or more) in the top wealth-building nation in world history to be begging the government for food money. Apparently 1 in 12 wasn't nearly good enough.

God Bless President Trump!!!!

Police officers are racist, the Left screams. They prey on young black men. After all, we have to believe that because Colin Kaepernick, Mr. Black Privilege, says so.

But a new study by researchers from Michigan State University not only debunks that myth, it blows it out of the water with this bombshell conclusion: Theres just no evidence to support the Lefts claims.

Until now, MSU professor Joseph Cesario told Phys.org, theres never been a systematic, nationwide study to determine the characteristics of police involved in fatal officer-involved shootings. There are so many examples of people saying that when black citizens are shot by police, its white officers shooting them.

In fact, our findings show no support for the idea that white officers are biased in shooting black citizens, he added.

The mentally ill can not distinguish between their own delusions and reality. The paranoid personality has, at it's core, the impression that people are out to get him/her. Logic and common sense is thrown out the window and replaced with imaginary bad men and false impressions of persecution.

Victim hood is a mental illness. It's a means to get attention. And it's a very convenient excuse for ones failure in life. Rather than owning up to life failures, it'd easier to blame others and play the victim/race card.

We all have bad days when we make wrong choices. Whether or not we own up and hold ourselves responsible and learn from our mistakes is what separates intelligent people from those of lower IQ people.

Why dont they try to defeat Trump the old-fashioned way - by actually winning an election?

Some free advice on how to do that: Nominate a smart, energetic, honest candidate (if they can find one) who holds rational positions somewhere close to the political center. Run as a moderate. Endorse policies that a majority of Americans can support - avoid socialism, open borders and attacks on law enforcement.

Do they have any candidates who fit that profile? If not, Trump wins, serves for four more years, and appoints two more Supreme Court justices.

I think they will try to do just that, Slow. Only thing is, they would be falsely presenting themselves. Which is what they do best when they think voters will fall for it.

If they try this tactic, hopefully voters will be able to make their voting decisions by remembering the Democrats past actions and statements. A tiger can't change his stripes.

Last two times Democrats ran as centrists, they won... It IS the winning strategy. Then they can go all bat s---e crazy lefty one they are in office.  They could easily win 2020..all they have to do is not be crazy and pretend to be centrist.  Not sure they can manage that tho....

Reports circulating that not just Russia, but Iran and China are also getting into the

voter hacking fray.

One big catch: Both China and Iran have the aim of defeating Trump;    :lmaosmiley:

China because of the chaos of trade wars and Iran for Trump's trashing

of the nuclear agreement.

Up to this point, Mitch McConnell has blocked anything that would help guarantee

voter system integrity, citing the issue as a "vast Democrat conspiracy."

Let's see how quickly he changes his tune when he realizes the strength of

the China muscle in swaying voters away from Trump!          :BNANADANCE:

LMAO! The Dems just can't help themselves but to fall squarely in Trump's traps!!!

House Democrats up in arms over President Trumps attacks on minority lawmakers are sounding a warning to their own party heading into the 2020 elections: Dont take the bait.

While Democrats have rushed to the defense of Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), the prominent Congressional Black Caucus member Trump has attacked this week, they also sense the president is setting a political trap.

Democrats won the House in 2018 campaigning on health care, income inequality and other legislative priorities, and there is concern that Trumps rhetoric is designed simply to distract voters from those policy debates.

A big DUH on the "hacking" attempts.  Where have you been? The US pulls this crud as well. Manipulation only works on stupid people.

And the problem is....there are so many stupid people in this country today. I fear they out number us! But until there is a test to see if a voter has enough sense to vote, we have a huge problem.

I mean, they voted for the Obummer to be president TWICE!!!!
