Thunberg says 'our voices' being heard but not translating into action

https://www.reuters....n-idUSKBN1YA1WE

“We are getting bigger and bigger and our voices are being heard more and more, but of course that does not translate into political action,” Thunberg told a panel in Madrid, where a U.N. climate summit is taking place.

Isaiah 11:6

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

I can see her as person of the year. She has indeed "started a movement."  Even if that movement is based on stupidity and feelings rather than science, it is still a movement.  Course,a can of chili will start "a movement" as well, so.....

Remember when TIme, Newsweek and others were actually of value and didn't be-clown themselves at every turn?

The evil in the world always focus on the youth of the world to promote their agenda.

They use recruitment of the young, because their message won't fool all adults. It will fool only the lower IQ groups.

You are mistaken. Trump is not our "hero."  He is frequently obtuse and often his conduct is indefensible. HOWEVER, his policies and the results of them are FAR better than any of those socialist wack jobs running for the dems.

Yeah. Sure. Seems like a sweet, well-adjusted, happy, and normal young girl just doing what all normal young girls do. Oh, maybe not. Better keep that angry little autistic brat away from knives.

Australia fire crisis fuels protests calling for bolder action on climate change

https://www.washingt...9860_story.html

The bush fire crisis gripping Australia is piling political pressure on its government to take bolder action on climate change, as the scorching of vast tracts of forest and farmland amplifies demands for a hastier transition away from fossil fuels.

In relevant news...(that you won't hear on NPR),

"since Nov. 8, 2019, 183 people, including 40 juveniles, have been charged with 205 bushfire-related offenses. Of the 183, 24 people have been charged with deliberately setting fires. According to police, of the 183, another “53 people have had legal actions for allegedly failing to comply with a total fire ban,” and an additional “47 people have had legal actions for allegedly discarding a lighted cigarette or match on land.”

For CA, "Of the known causes of the state’s 20 most destructive wildfires, all are human-related."

Nationwide, " two decades of U.S. records found that, from 1992 to 2012, human activity was responsible for 84% of the wildfires "

"human actions do bear a large share of the blame for the scale of this ongoing tragedy, the cause is primarily bad management policies, not dreaded climate change. Governmental decisions, made under pressure from environmental groups, have made what would normally be big fires into hellish conflagrations."
