What happened to the traffic light that was supposed to be installed at the intersections of E. Bidwell and Woodsmoke (Between Oak Ave & Blue Ravine)? This area is very dangerous since they took out the middle turn lanes and replaced with just one turn lane to the new dental buidling. Has anyone heard anything about the city installing a traffic light there?

Another accident waiting to happen is the Clarksville Road and Bundrick Drive (near the Folsom Sport Complex and John Kemp Park and across the way is Home Depot). Pulling out of Bundrick Drive onto Clarksville Road is scarey. You can't see the cars because of the trees or shrubs and when you do, they are speeding.

There should be a four way stop sign on that intersection because the trees or shrubs block your view of oncoming traffic on Clarskville Road. It also doesn;t take a lot of time to stop, look and go. I always see cars speeding down that particular stretch of road. I was happy to see Folsom PD patrolling that road yesterday.

Does anyone know how we could petition or request that stop signs be put in??

I believe the first step is going to the Folsom Traffic Safety Commission. I believe Tony is a commissioner.

Thanks Steve, I think I'll drop a line to make a suggesting/request. Maybe they could do something about this problem. :-)

As I was waiting in the Sports Complex this evening I heard the sickening screech of tires and a loud crash at the intersection behind Home Depot, in front of the complex. People who were eye-witnesses stopped to assist. I am just hoping everyone is ok.
I am guessing the car hit by the truck was Northbound and turning in toward the park.

I almost got creamed once by a fireman illegally using the emergency vehicle break in the island to get to work in his pick-up truck.

Mark Rackovan is the city traffic engineer. I think his email is mrackovan@folsom.ca.us
