It's not just Folsom eating up farm land... the County is back at it too:http://www.bizjourna...s-of-homes.html
20,000 homes on Ag Land and a ton of commercial! When is enough going to be enough?? Traffic on the way to the airport would be an absolute nighmare. Sacramento deserves better that what our local leaders are giving us (its not just Folsom). Sprawling out is not sustainable!
More importantly - This proposal is JUST outside of the City of Sacramento's City Limits... Same EXACT situation can occur in Folsom, south of S50 on land owned by Tsakapalous.
Anyone else sick of this crap (and I have only lived here 10 years)?
More Sprawl - Could Happen To Folsom Next?

So where did you migrate from, I was deposited here >30 years ago.
And in 30 more years, how big do you expect the greater Sac metropolitan area to be.
Move to Alaska if you want to escape urban sprawl

Tsakapalous & his buddies are well known developers whose intent is just that, to develop every square inch of the region while raking in the $$$.
Eventually I will return to the county, but for now, it's tolerable.

That's the same argument as with immigration. But we all have our own idea of what is "too much". What's yours?

I personally hate to see good farm land used for homes. It is better to build in the rocky soil where you can't really farm... in other words, Folsom and above.

The title of this thread is all wrong. It's not "Could happen to Folsom next" rather it should read "Will happen to Folsom soon!"

Actually, the thread is relevant since it doesn't have to happen in Folsom to affect Folsom.
EDH could keep building and demanding their entire water rights. Same for Roseville, Rancho Cordova, etc.
Then let's talk about traffic along 50 when Rancho and EDH keep building.

EDH is building - just drive south on Latrobe.

You are correct, and there is NOTHING that we can do about it...especially when you have corrupt City Council members and other Govt officials in MANY jurisdictions who get to fill their pockets with big $$$ by allowing developers and builders to do this.
Keep voting for incumbents and this is what you get.
Enjoy the Sprawl...and Pray that there's enough water for all of us !!!
