Go see it folks, epic....!  If you like music and the history there of, go see it.  I think I just saw an Oscar performance by the guy who played Freddy.  Probably the best movie I have seen in over a year or two.  Chris

Thanks for the recommendation, Chris. The reviews I've seen have been mixed, more as to story line than the actual musical performance.

I saw the "Queen With Adam Lambert" concert a couple years ago, and Lambert was very good in the Freddy Mercury spot. Still, he didn't quite have the vocal range and power of the real Freddy.

So I will for sure see the movie & rock on! Thanks~~

Hey Long Ago, I did hear about the Adam Lambert concert series where he replaced Freddy.  He is very good but yes, not like the real deal.  And yes, the reviews are mixed but the professional movie critics are just so far off the mark as usual on this one.  The audiences, you and me, we the people just love it...!  I tell you, this kid, this actor who played Freddy is just amazing.  You will so enjoy this movie if you are like me and love the music from this era and especially Queen.  I think I had a Queen cassette tape years ago of theirs and played in on my Hitachi cassette radio player which I so loved...   I realized I had no Queen CD's or on Vinyl in my stable (I have a pretty good vinyl collection) so I splurged on the three CD Queen set last night on Amazon.  I need to go through and listen to every song like back in the day and refresh my memories.  Regards, Chris

Don't Stop Me Now.  Great song and vastly underrated Go ahead and play it a few times and you'll hopefully agree

So many great songs. I really love the way they phrased their songs. Each phrase created a different mood. Freddie was great and could own the stage.  Even simple fare like Tie Your Mother Down could have been a Foghat/Thin Lizzy pop clone, but they made that sound their own.

The only songs I really don't care for are Another One Bites The Dust, and We Will Rock You (just heard that one too  many times.)

Underrated is his performance on Under Pressure with Bowie (another great thematic artist)... Love that one.

Finally saw the movie and it was great.  Best I've seen in awhile. Amazing the way the actors mimicked the originals. And the way they used Freddie's actual voice for the songs was perfect. There was never a "lip syncing" moment. Very well done and deserving of accolades when award time rolls around.
