As I daily take Prairie City to White Rock and then towards Grantline, I am wondering if anyone is aware of the impact (and timeline) of the impending "South of 50" development on traveling on this stretch of road? I know that there has been some closures on roads east of there. Will this happen there as well? Any suggestions of how to get updates on how the development will be affecting the roads and traffic patterns?

I have been on Prairie City road between 50 and White Rock several times. I am wondering if they
might think about straightening that part of the road out and make it four lanes.

hope this helps: http://folsomranch.c...c-Mgmt-Plan.pdf
I believe this plan is valid through the end of this (2017) year. Scott Rd will close in a few weeks once Alder Creek Rd is finished (currently in its 30-day window to be built.)
Placerville Rd was closed around May 3 with a 30-day closure window to allow Alder Creek Rd to be built, along with other improvements to Placerville Rd.
Once Placerville Rd reopens (30 days from closure), and Alder Creek (new road) opens, then Scott Rd south of Alder Creek to Whiterock will close for around 6 months (June through early December).
I have not read or seen plans for closing Prairie City Rd, yet. Maybe the above link will be updated as work progresses.
Here's Folsom's link to the plan area: http://www.folsom.ca...ion/default.asp
