I was hoping for a Black Bear Diner but I suppose Denny's will do.
John, would love to have a Black Bear Diner. We have been to a couple and really like them.

Have eaten at the one in Roseville (where they have 1 of EVERYTHING) and thought it was just ok. Huge portions though if you're in the mood to over-stuff yourself.

Good Salsa bar, after that it's pretty average Mexican drive thru food. La Fiesta still rules.

I don't know if I've been to Rincon, but I do love La Fiesta, and I've recently had some good experiences at Adanbertos, though it may be just the big portions at low prices that gets me.
I'm looking forward to the Sutter Street Taqueria opening.

I'm talking breakfast specifically. El Rincon has the best breakfasts in Folsom.

BBD are popular down in the central san joaquin valley. I never understood what the attraction was.
Nor with Denny's. Used to be the only place to get a meal after midnight, so I imagine it will get plenty of business near the bars in Folsom.

I don't know how anyone can compare Black Bear breakfast which is pretty good to a Denny's (yuck...) Denny's is right down at the bottom of the list with IHOP.

When does the Denny's open?
Food quality varies by location. It all depends on the restaurant manager... ...I've had some good decent meals and the worse meals at a Denny's.

Does anyone know when the Deny's is scheduled to open ? The Biz Journal listed Nov. of last year as the projected opening, It seems like Restaurants take a long time to get up and running here, The empty store fronts of the Hacienda and Sutter St. Taqueria come to mind.

Cappucino Cruisers is holding their annual tribute event tonight in the parking lot of the new Denny's:

The Cappuccino Cruisers Classic Car Club will hold its annual “Tribute America” event this month honoring the men and women in the U.S. Military, law enforcement agencies and firefighters.
“We have held this event since the events of Sept. 11, 2001,” said Ray Marchese, Cappuccino Cruisers Classic Car Club events coordinator and DJ. “These men and women put their lives on the line every day for our freedoms.”
“Tribute America” will run from 5-9 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, at Denny’s, 1011 Riley St., in Folsom.
The event will include the American Legion’s Color Guard parading in and presenting their colors, displays of restored military vehicles along with various booths.
The “Tribute America” event is held annually on the last Wednesday of June as part of the weekly Cappuccino Cruise Night. The weekly Cruise Night is from 4:30-8:30 p.m. in the Denny’s parking lot in Folsom.
“The event is open to all automobiles made prior to 1974,” Marchese said. “Our evenings include music, raffles, food and three sponsored awards weekly. The club is open to anyone who is a classic car enthusiast and on occasion wants to help. Our motto is family, friends, fun and classic cars.”
