Could we see the tallest buildings in the Sacramento area pop up in the Rancho area. If some developers have their way... it could happen. I'm hoping they can get it done. Could start a bunch of growth along Folsom Blvd.

I'd rather see it downtown, but I think it's still good for the area...

Terrific idea - more dispersed high-density housing is good for everyone, especially when it is not shiatty high-density housing.

It doesn't say status on their site, just plays some weird music.

Are those the towers they want to put just east of the fun center?
"Sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident, teachers' unions have a long history of working against the interests of children in the name of job security for adults. And Democrats in particular have a history of facilitating this obstructionism in exchange for campaign donations and votes." . . .Amanda Ripley re "Waiting for Superman" movie.

Not East of the Fun Center, next to the Sheraton near Sunrise.

All that said, I seriously doubt they are planning on doing this anytime soon. The contents of that site were written in August 2007 when things were still somewhat optimistic in the real estate market.

I too am hoping for some serious redevelopment of the Rancho City along Folsom Blvd. It will be nice someday not to have Rancho known for strip clubs and biker bars. Not sure that day will be coming anytime soon either though. sad.gif
