Yet Another mass shooting. This time in California.

I suppose we'll get the usual "thoughts and prayers" from the gun nuts,

followed by "from my cold dead hands" at the prospect of any kind of gun control.

Sad!

A shooting erupted at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, California.

And what "common sense" gun law would have prevented this? It was a handgun, with a person trained by the government how to use it. SO your solution to crazy is.....take guns from law abiding, sane people? And that helps stop crazy how?

Uncle Vino is nothing but a ranting and raving Democrat that makes no sense. This is typical of the left, when they have only simplistic minds and offer only simplistic solutions. Any intelligent person would realize that when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will own them.

But, no matter how you try to explain this to a liberal, they resort back to their first comments, indicating their low IQ.

The real problem, as you know, is mental illness. Until those who are mentally ill are placed in protective care, they will continue to be a danger to others and themselves. There is no other solution to this problem.

Agree with that.

So how do we screen for mental illness in a soldier like that?

I mean with the NRA opposing any kind of background checks?

In this case, the man's mother called the police and he was advised to seek treatment for his mental health. He refused to go.

That was a red flag and he should have been taken at that time and placed in a mental hospital to be evaluated and held, if necessary. Under a locked environment, he would not have had access to a weapon and the people he killed would still be alive.

As long as the mentally ill are out on the streets, they are a risk in harming others. They can do it with a knife, a box cutter, a sword or any number of ways. Who in their right mind sets another on fire? Yet that has been done in the past, as well. A gun is just one of the weapons used to kill.

Simple, a bar, a "gun free" zone by law (CA law).  A criminal with a gun goes in.........   No one has a gun and can fight back, they know this, the criminal, no one can take out the perp, because they are law abiding and obey the law, guns stay at home.............   Liberals, you are responsible...., yes, you passionate anti gun folks, pay attention.   Maybe look at your laws regarding guns.  Are your "laws", your "gun free" zones killing more people because once one enters your "gun free" zone by obeying the law and someone, with evil intent, who does not obey your laws (called a criminal) goes on a shooting spree and no one can fight back, drop the shooter.   Is it "bad guns" or is it your silly "gun free zones".   The answer is obvious, is it obvious to you....?    Very obvious to me.   Chris
