With our tree lighting coming up here in Folsom, just thought I'd report how Rancho Cordova's Christmas tree lighting went last night in Village Green Park. We saw the lights of a Ferris wheel and decided to see what was up. They had three variations of train rides, one of which was a smaller scale version of what we have at Folsom City Lions Park. There was also a large slide, hay ride, live music from the River City Concert Band, singing, snow blowing from light posts, and food trucks.

Most importantly, we saw lots and lots of families with children having a good time. I'm sorry I couldn't post this beforehand to give a heads up to any of the Rancho Cordova readers of myfolsom, but I would recommend keeping an eye out for it next year because it was really well done.
