Your people and your culture has banned pictures of guns in schools.  Banned young adults in their private time with family from going to gun ranges.  So, I don't believe a word your culture says about guns.  If your people wanted to debate, why the banning of content and discussion on websites?  Why the boycott of businesses?  Why the limitations on ammo shipping? Proposals for ammo taxes?

As an American, I'm appalled at the things your culture supports. And I'm sickened that your people use children as your meme.  Rights are not open to negotiation, period.  You people make up all kinds of crazy "rights" that steal from the hard working masses. And yet you want to steal natural rights from citizens.

This isn't about the children. This is about your people wanting to install an authoritative, emotional dictatorship. Good luck with that. Your kind can ban and tax anything.  But let's see what happens when you actually try to take something from our hands.

You say, "... I'm sickened that your people use children as your meme."

Join the "sickened" club.  I'm sickened that your people use children as expendable collateral damage in order to protect your right to keep an arsenal in the basement.

Something you should consider - None of the Bill of Rights is absolute.  Every one of them has some limitations attached to it.  As an example, you don't have the absolute right to freedom of speech.  there are some things you can say that will land you in jail.  Why don't you complain about that?

And one more point - Let's just say the 2A actually does get repealed and guns are banned.  When that happens, who are you going to shoot?  Your Senator? The governor?  Mayor? The dogcatcher?  Your neighbor?  Exactly who will you shoot?  Have you thought it thru?  Something to ponder...

The "assault weapons" ban of the nineties had ZERO effect on any crime stats.  But hey, let's do it again! Stupid is as stupid does.

Joe - not true.  From FACTCHECK.org:

Both sides in the gun debate are selectively citing from a series of studies that concluded with a 2004 study led by Christopher S. Koper, “An Updated Assessment of the Federal Assault Weapons Ban: Impacts on Gun Markets and Gun Violence, 1994-2003.” That report was the final of three studies of the ban, which was enacted in 1994 as part of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994.

The final report concluded the ban’s success in reducing crimes committed with banned guns was “mixed.” Gun crimes involving assault weapons declined. However, that decline was “offset throughout at least the late 1990s by steady or rising use of other guns equipped with [large-capacity magazines].”

Ultimately, the research concluded that it was “premature to make definitive assessments of the ban’s impact on gun crime,” largely because the law’s grandfathering of millions of pre-ban assault weapons and large-capacity magazines “ensured that the effects of the law would occur only gradually” and were “still unfolding” when the ban expired in 2004.

No one wants to take away your guns... except for 1 in 3 democrats.....

One in three Democratic voters, 33%, say they support repealing the Second Amendment in new Quinnipiac poll.

A couple more school shootings like Parkland and 33% of republicans will join the 66% of democrats who will then be calling for repeal.

since "assault weapons" account for such a small percentage of crime (so small they didnt even have a category during the time in question)  Any undefinable change would be a fraction f  a percentage point which would fall within any reasonable fluctuation of year to year.   Remember, long rifles (which the AR,AK etc are a sub set of) account for only 2% of gun homicides. There is no way for them to say that "assault weapon" crimes decreased, as that stat was not even in use at the time.

I dont go by "factcheck" sites, I go by doj stats.  There is no way they can claim the ban worked, because there is no EVIDENCE. That is why they couch it in terms like "the effects were still unfolding."  Poppycock.

No poppycock in sight.   FACTCHECK is a fair assessment of the situation.  The conclusion says there was some effect but results were "mixed".  It will be better to wait longer for more data before anyone can assess.  This seems like a fair result to me.

And it's a mystery to me that you cite the assault weapons ban, since this report indicates that nothing of any consequence was actually banned.

GUN BANS DON'T WORK:   "Australia sees dramatic increase in gun crimes despite gun ban".  Story below.  Checkmate.  Don't listen to the anti-gun liars on this board.  They have an agenda to confiscate guns.  It's all about control.  Slap 'em down!!

GUN BANS DON'T WORK:

Aces, gun bans do work.....!   Just ask the millions of dead who turned them in under socialist, liberal, progressive, communist states, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, Castro, Pol Pot, the Sandinistas, in Angola, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia..........   All of Tio Vinny's heros and their wonderful forms of government he'd like for you and me....!   And today in Britain and Australia where apparently now that they got the guns they want all the knives....?  You see where this ends up don't you...?  You die because you can't defend yourself against the criminals that the left will not prosecute or put in jails.....!   Not happening here, got history on my side...!  Oh, and a few guns....   And I am a very good shot, out to 800 yards if I really focus and the wind is right....   Within 500 yards and you are all mine....    Steel target silhouettes only of course.....   Chris

GUNS ARE GOOD... SOME PEOPLE ARE BAD:  The article below features 11 times a good guy/gal with a gun stopped a bad guy, saving lives.  The anti-gun, "confiscate the guns" crowd is losing this debate bigtime, and gun sales are on the upswing... but I hope they run on *gun confiscation* in future elections... that will be fun... and, yes, they ARE that stupid!! :)

FAIL:  The Parkland student's strategy on gun control isn't working, as I have been predicting.  Story below.  But let's hope the Dems continue to harp on the issue.  If they do, they will *shoot themselves in the foot* and struggle in future elections.  That bodes well for America.  Guns aren't the problem... *bad people and thugs* are the problem.  Right, Chicago?

ANOTHER CLASSLESS ANTI-GUN DEMOCRAT:  Fox News' Tucker Carlson steamrolled a smarmy anti-gun congressional candidate, eventually ejecting him from the show after challenging his campaign ads.  Story below.  You Go, Tucker!!  Man, some of you anti-gun people need serious psychological help... oh, and you need FACTS too!  Sad.

ANOTHER TRIGGERED DEMOCRAT:  A gunman who fired shots at Trump National Doral golf course and resort early Friday was disabled by five officers who shot him in his legs, a police chief said.  Story below.  The guy was yelling anti-Trump stuff and basically behaving like your typical psycho-Dem.  Apparently he's another immature Democrat snowflake who can't accept election results.  Man, you anti-Trump pansies have gone *full tard*, haven't you?

MEDIA TO BLAME:  The media plays a big part in causing these school shootings by glorifying the murderer, constantly showing their name and face... and the perp is instantly famous.  Story below.  Funny how the MSM blames guns... the MSM may want to look in the mirror if they want to find who is largely to blame.
