Bipartisan Senate Panel Gives Middle Finger to Devin Nunes

https://www.thedaily...-to-devin-nunes

“The Committee found that the ICA provided a range of all-source reporting to support these assessments,” it found. “A body of reporting,” from classified intelligence to Russian media, “showed that Moscow sought to denigrate Secretary Clinton.” The ICA finding on Putin’s objectives used similarly cumulative Russian media, similarities between Trump positions and Putin’s interests “and a body of intelligence reporting to support the assessment that Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for Trump.”

It’s not the first time a high-profile inquiry into the 2016 election has contradicted Nunes’ findings.

Whistleblower: Pruitt Kept Secret Calendar to Hide Controversial Meetings

https://www.thedaily...ersial-meetings

Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt kept a “secret” calendar to hide meetings or calls that he and his aides feared would “look bad” if leaked to the public, according to one of his former staffers. Kevin Chmielewski, Pruitt’s former deputy chief of staff for operations, said EPA officials routinely met in Pruitt’s office to “scrub,” alter, or remove events from his official calendar. The offending meetings are said to include one in June 2017 between Pruitt and Cardinal George Pell, who was charged weeks later in Australia with multiple charges of sexual offenses.

Trump goes to war with corporate America

The president’s widening trade war is pushing longtime GOP allies to the front lines of a fight against the Trump administration.

https://www.politico...davidson-666926

corporate titans and market analysts fear Trump is on the cusp of damaging the American economy — and that he will not recognize the failure of his approach until it’s too late.

“With every successive firecracker that Trump sets off, we see corporate leaders and groups emboldened and ready to go on the public stage to take him on,” said Nancy Koehn, a business historian at Harvard.

How Trump is pocketing our money, visualized

America’s top public servant is using his office to get rich.

https://www.fastcode...oney-visualized

ProPublica used publicly available data to determine exactly how much money Trump is pocketing directly from taxpayer-funded and political spending at Trump Properties. The grand total? $16.1 million, so far.

“Trump appears to be commandeering federal resources in order to maximize revenues at Trump properties, and he does this by visiting properties close to the White House . . .  and when he travels to the golf courses in Florida, Virginia, and New Jersey, other agencies that are involved in supporting the president end up spending money.”

Wow! Who's watching the Manafort trial? :o

Manafort "earned" $60 million from Russian oligarchs.  :teepee:

He owes one of them $10 million.

Gates testifies against him.

Gates admits he cheated Manafort out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

NY Congressman Chris Collins charged with insider trading.
Video show him making calls from the lawn of the White House.

Collins is a close confident and early supporter of Donald Trump.

The timing of the indictment, less than three months before the election, would seem to pose a disadvantage to Mr. Collins.

Don't be such a dupe for the "collusion" and guilt by association narrative. Makes you sound kind of...deranged.

NY Congressman Chris Collins charged with insider trading.

Sounds like he and his family are totally guilty......   And dumb, the SEC will see this and get you...!   Does not help that NY is run by radical liberal prosecutors and will go after you big time if you are a Republican.  If you are a democrat, wear attractive pant suits, ride a broom late at night, and live in Chappaqua you get a pass.  Anyway, you tie this to Trump because this guy made calls from his front lawn, actually our front lawn, yours and mine....?   You and MSNBC made this "connection"......   That's a far reach my friend...  Far indeed.  But par for the course lately for the TDS crowd.......    Chris

Congressmen do insider trading all the time. this is more of an intelligence test. If you get busted, you're not very smart...

Trump and his cronies continue to attack the First Amendment, but the newspapers are not sitting still.

They plan a nationwide editorial this coming Thursday supporting the free press.

Boston paper presses coordinated response to Trump's media criticisms

http://www.foxnews.c...criticisms.html

The president, who regularly declares that his administration is getting unfair media coverage, has made frequent speeches and tweets decrying "fake news" and fabricated sources. After his recent summit in Singapore with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, he assailed fake news as "our country's biggest enemy."

The Globe has reportedly reached out to editorial boards around the U.S. to run editorials this Thursday denouncing what the newspaper called a "dirty war against the free press" -- regardless of the respective publications' political leanings.

Pritchard said about 70 outlets had committed to editorials as of Friday, with the list expected to grow

The press have NO ONE to blame but themselves. They have become advocates rather than reporters of fact.

First Amendment: The Free Press.

Under assault by Trump, fights back.       :fineprint:               :USA:

Fake News and News Fraud

https://www.realclea...aud_137791.html

Stung by President Trump’s repeated charges of “fake news,” last week The Boston Globe announced an alliance of more than 70 newspapers planning to run editorials protesting a ‘‘dirty war against the free press.”  This effort is being supported by such industry heavyweights as The American Society of Newspaper Editors and regional newspaper groups.

This is a far more serious counterattack
