----- Classic Landscape Exhibit at Gallery 48 Natoma
By Cindy Abraham

Artists have long held a fascination with capturing images of the landscape.  From grand majestic mountains to intimate floral foregrounds, painters have strived to interpret nature’s masterpieces. These artists can often be seen outdoors with their easels set up on location in meadows and mountains, paint brush in hand.  In the next exhibit at the Gallery at 48 Natoma in Folsom, “Classic Landscapes” will feature the work of two popular artists. Reif Erickson will display his award-winning pastel paintings and Tatyana Fogarty will exhibit her spectacular oil paintings. The exhibit opens on March 14 and continues through May 8, 2014.

In the adjacent Community Gallery at 48 Natoma, an exciting exhibit from Folsom High School’s digital art class will be shown.  Landscapes will have unexpected images and creative surprises in their otherwise beautiful scenery.  Over 30 students from art teacher Summer Halverson’s Digital Art class will be included.
The public is invited to celebrate both exhibits at the free opening reception on Friday, March 14, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, with refreshments, wine and live harp music by Judy Phillips.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm, with additional hours Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 6-8pm.
