Yawn. I don't care if he did say it. Have you ever traveled? There are indeed some s---hole countries. Not all culture is equal despite what your progressive ideology demands you believe. Why should we want to import people who don't value women...who think gays should be killed...who think religious law is above our law...who think corruption is ok...who don't believe in or understand the rights and responsibilities of a free country...who have no concept of social responsibility?  And most importantly, who don't embrace American culture?  This is a big nothingburger that the left is freaking out about. Not because of what he said, but because they have no coping skills to deal with REALITY.

You know Folsombound, we have been lied to by the democratic party, the MSM, the DNC, most any newspaper we pick up, any "news" show we listen to, talked down to like we are children by Pelosi, Shumer, Feinstein, Obama, and Hollywood that we find it so refreshing that someone actually speaks the truth to us, does not pull punches, says it exactly how the common man feels about it....!   Haiti is a s___t hole, so are those other countries, that is why they all try and come here, for a flush toilet and clean water that actually comes out of a tap.   Get over it...!    And get used to it....!   It's the next 7 years of your life...!   Chris

Just semantics. What words are used is the difference between politically correct or insulting. But, the meaning is the same.

 

Call a country "Third World", "Backwards" or "Socially Immoral" and it goes down better. Use street language and people get upset. Why?

 

The fact is we already have far too many people, born in America, that are making cities, towns and neighborhoods s--- Holes.  They take more money in health care, housing and police interventions that we can afford. Why would we want to bring more of those types here?

 

I'll tell you why some think we should.....money. The lobbyists and many of out politicians get kick backs or donations, from those countries (Hillary's foundation).

 

Seldom in today's world do people get offended for the right reasons. If some want to help those third world countries, I suggest they get a plane ticket and go help them. Quit being side liner cheerleaders that contribute nothing but outrage and words!

 

The only goal of the Democrats is to degrade the president and try to make him disliked. That's what all the outrage is about.

-  "who think corruption is ok"   Look at congress in Washington - rampant corruption.  They'll sell their constituents down the river for $1.

 

-  "who don't believe in or understand the rights and responsibilities of a free country"   Only 55% of eligible voters actually voted in 2016.

 

In some respects, we're no different from those sh_thole countries.

But we’re jumping up and down, ‘Oh, you can’t say that.’ Why can’t you say that?” Carlson asked following amid bipartisan criticism of Trump’s remarks.

 

For pete's sake who do...take off your anti america blinders. No one said we are perfect.  Metoo is stupid on the face, as is any hashtag "movement.  It just gives all those Hollywood hypocrites something to pretend they gave a rat's arse despite knowingly ignoring the problem for decades. I can assure you, those Metoo imposters wouldn't last a day in a Haiti slum, or Somalia city, or fundamentalist Muslim state. Yet here, they might get asked on a date too many times and cry out "sexual abuse." Puhlease.

 

DC and Sac are corrupt, but there are plenty of people are fighting it and keeping an eye on things. Not so in Russia, Mexico, or any dictatorship.

 

As for voters, I wish even less people voted, because a large portion of those that do have absolutely no idea what they are voting for. Their stupid votes cancel out those of people who actually pay attention (<cough> bullettrain)

 

And one more thing. All those s---hole countries demanding answers from our ambassadors...Here's some advice. DOn't be a s---hole country, and no one will call you out for being one.

I'm in contact with corporate America daily in the course of my (part time) job.  Just since the #METOO movement, there has been a sea change in the attitudes and policies of virtually every corporation in this country regarding harassment of women.  Women make up more than half the population.  Do not underestimate the power they are bringing to bear.  Stupid it's not.

 

And then you contradict yourself.  You lament the idea that Americans "don't believe in or understand the rights and responsibilities of a free country".  Voting is one of those responsibilities, but then you want less people to vote.  Which is it?
