This month's Esquire recommends red wine with sunny side up eggs and toast once a week. huh.gif

Yeah, doesn't quite work for me. Even when I did drink, I didn't like wine.

Plus you get AAA with it, and their call center is never ever dumb or rude!!!!!

This is what is important to me. We've been looking at switching for a long time and a lot of reps for other insurance companies out there are just straight out A-holes. I don't get it.

Though, our current company did donate $100K to No on 8, so maybe we should stick with them, until our next renewal. Just on general principle. Heh.

I got random for you. I was watching the Raider's embarrass themselves yesterday, and remarking how terrible they were, when my wife said, 'Hey, if the game sucks, why don't we go up to Holly's Hill Winery to pick up our wine club release?'

So, we took off for the hills. Even on an otherwise dreary day, that place is beautiful. The winemaker's husband, Josh, made some cioppino. It was great.

Stopped by Poor Red's on the way home and ran into an old buddy from the Bay Area, who I hadn't seen in a couple of years. He told me he'd had a 7 pound tumor removed from area around the base of his spine. He lost a lot of blood during hte operation and almost died, then had what turned out to be temporary paralysis for weeks, had to use a colostomy bag for 4 months, had lost a lot of weight, couldn't keep food down, and had a total of 3 surgeries. He is now healthy, looks great, but strangely enough, his hair used to be a kind of medium brown color, and now it has grown out almost black. He bought a Harley, and was out celebrating life with his new girlfriend.

Turns out the girlfriend is a Realtor from Granite Bay, and who was interested in a property that is listed at my office, and I recently sold one listed by hers.

It also turns out that she is good friends with a guy in my extended circle, and we know some of the same people.

We now have plans to get together for dinner soon.

Heard a comedian on Sirius the other day that was told to leave a note when he backed into another car. So he did but it only said "Sorry". It was funny at the time but happy as Gaelic to hear someone stepped up and left their contact info AND since it was at a soccer field, their kid witnessed their mom or dad doing the right thing...cant beat leading by example.

About 30 years ago, I saw a comedian, I think it was Bill Cosby, who said that he came out of a building, went to his car, and discovered that the front end was damaged. There was a note on the windshild which read, 'Dear car owner. I was backing out of a parking space, and I hit the gas too hard, damaging your car. Right now, there are several witnesses watching me, so I am writing this note, pretending that I am leaving you my name and phone number. I am not. Sorry.'

If you eat pumpkin pie in a pie-eating contest, be prepared to have pumpkin filling coming out of your nose for at least 12 hours ...

My baby poo'd neon green this weekend. Doctor says that it is normal. Breast milk poo comes in an assortment of interesting colors.

Who woulda thunk it.

And kudos to the doctor for responding to the email so promptly and to Kaiser for making it so easy to contact the doctor for silly little first time parent questions.

Yep, Kaiser has done an excellent job with their going online.

You can email your doctor.

You can pick a new doctor online.

You can refill prescriptions.

You can schedule an appointment.

You can do all of the above for a dependent, and even for a parent if the parent grants you permission (my wife was doing things for her father online) smile.gif

Oh s---!!!!

(That's actually been my response to a lot of people today. Guy I know in Texas updated his Facebook status to read: "Maintenance guy was in our apt. checking the water today. Wife found him examining the dry ceiling while standing in the still unseen wet spot.")

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING MY GIRL.
