With recent developments from the Maloofs, it's become apparent that their intention all this time was to move the team to Las Vegas. Now that they have officially pissed off their fanbase, the measure will likely fail miserably, and this in all likelihood is the final season for the Sacramento Kings.

I think Sacramento needs a backup plan. We know that the city can support a franchise, the Kings have been sold out for like 21 seasons. I think we should convince our city leaders to get something going to expand Raley Field to MLB capacity, so we can lure the Oakland A's here. Lord knows they won't get a new arena any time soon. It would be a great way to fill the void of an absence of a professional franchise in a market that's larger than some with several (Kansas City, Cincinatti, etc).

Maybe a .25% sales tax increase could be used to expand Raley field....

no, it's .25% -- quarter percent, not quarter cent.

Along with the A's... maybe the Chargers can move here after the Raiders go back to LA.

Alex Spanos is from Stockton... so it isn't too far out of the realm of possibilities. Okay... I may be dreaming... but it would be sweet!

I would like to have the A's in Sacramento. There's more of a likelihood of being able to catch a game. 81 home games vs 41 home games.

Isn't a quarter of a cent a .25%? I'm admittedly horrible at math, but $1=100, so $.025 = .25% of 100
