In the 80's, I went to a LOT of MLB games. Mostly Angels and Dodgers as I lived in SoCal. After the player strikes in 85, 90 and 94, I finally had enough and said screw MLB. I stopped going to games and stopped watching on tv (although I still go to Rivercat games). What started as a protest turned into a habit. Finally, after 20 years, I returned to Oakland to watch the A's play on Saturday. I was treated to an 8 run 5th inning, and a few plays that made the day for me (including the one linked below). Despite the horrific drive, I was reminded again how much fun could be had at the ol ball park. I guess I'm back ...until the next player strike anyway.
