If you believe that the social security program equates to America being a socialist country, then please feel free to say hi to Crazy Uncle Vinny in the loony bin you both occupy.

This is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can move pieces but have no concept as to what it means.

Is there a liberal with even half a brain in Folsom??

Look up socialism in Websters, pal. The social security system fits pretty well.  If you can't figure it out, change your screen name to "slowthebrain".  It fits.  So answer the question - gonna send back your social security check?

Since I pay both employer and employee portions for SS that I will never see (or it will be reduced/eliminated with means testing, increased retirement age and reduced benefits due to the fiscal REALITY of the ponzi scheme failing), I'm pretty confident I could have gotten far more return had I been able to keep that money....

I retired 2 yrs ago at 70.  I get the max amount of SS.  I get back everything I paid in by the time I'm 74.  After that, somebody else pays my way.  I'm part of the problem.  And if I move to Oakland, the pinhead liberals running that hellhole will give me another $1000/mo for no good reason.  Problem is the idiot republicans have joined the double idiot democrats on the spending spree.  Our kids are in deep sh*t.

I'll say it again.... this time have your mom explain it to you:

If you believe that the social security program... one intended in 1935 as a life boat for those retirees in the depression, equates to America being a socialist country, then you are simply going to be referred to as Loony Pete since reality challenges you as much as crazy Uncle Vinny.

Now that we're past children's lesson time here, I am happy to tell you that I intend to take every penny THAT I PUT IN to the program when it comes my turn to collect.

Who would pay in to something for their entire lives and NOT take it back when offered?

Oh... wait... That's way too logical for the inmates in the asylum.

Hey, slowthebrain.  So you'll take back everything you put in?  That will probably take 3-4 years.  After you get everything back, will you send the SS checks back?   Text me "1" for YES,  "2" for NO.

Wow... poor Loony Pete... stuck on stupid I see.

I'll play... it's fun to pick on the low IQ liberals after all.

Yes loony Pete, I'll be sure to only collect the exact dollars I put in.

Man....I feel slightly dumber even posting that...is that how you feel each day?

Now... your homework cupcake is to read up a little on a magical place called Venezuela. It's where shiny socialists are living a wonderful life with no problems at all.

It should make your feel right at home since I'm sure the asylum provides you with everything you need too.

Wait just a darn minute!!!!  Had I had a choice to take the money the government took out for social security and placed it into an IRA account, that money would probably be a much larger sum and wouldn't be doled out to me in the amount they see fit. And hopefully, I won't die before I get back what I've put in! It would be stupid for anyone to think they were only entitled to receive the amount they put in! What about interest, since you were working since age 16???? Count the years you've worked and think about that.

The fact is, we were not taught in school about being financially independent and there for spend money like it grows on trees and think our retirement is taken care of by social security.  Ha! What a laugh!!!

But, my husband and I weren't given a choice and the government got to decide where and how our money was handled. Thanks to the Dumbocrats, much more money is being drawn from social security than was ever intended.  Thus, they talk about it going under before our kids retire. Nice.

The reason little pete didn't even consider what Rose said is because he's a Lib.. he's stupid.. and Libs want to be taken care of *cradle to grave*. The Govt is the be all, end all. Pretty sickening to think that millions of people in America think that way. Morons.

Rose,  Fact is most Americans are imbeciles. More than half of Americans over 50 don't have even $1 saved for retirement.  If SS wasn't taken from their pay, they still wouldn't have any savings.  The mindless liberal agenda teaches that someone will take care of you, no matter how irresponsible you wanna be, and people believe it.  Idiots!  Let 'em suffer in the streets.  I worked 47 years and paid into SS every year.  Retired at 70 and will get it all back in 4 years.  Same will happen to you.  You'll get more than you paid in.

So... now that your little tantrum is done cupcake, tell us what you learned about Venezuela and the wonders of socialism.

(You have to be patient with kids these days...so easily distracted).

OPEN MOUTH, INSERT FOOT: It's clear that *little peter* is a Democrat, yet on Monday on this thread little peter referred to Democrats (and himself?) as *double idiot Democrats*. He wins today's *honesty and self-reflection* award. What a clown.

Pete... member since.....last week.

Give him time to figure who he is and what he stands for. Honest reflection like what you mentioned is a good sign.
