Our beloved beagle/Jack Russell mix has developed a biting problem, and we can no longer keep him. We have 3 young children with behavioral issues, and they have taunted the dog.

A dog behaviorist determined that Baxter is "possessive." We can't always predict what will trigger him -- But he does not like rowdy screaming kids, and doesn't like to have his paws messed with.

We can not take him to a shelter, since he would likely be put down.

Baxter is 8 years old, 35 pounds, healthy, active, and loves life. He spends most of his time wagging his tail. He loves his orange Chuck It balls, and often has one in his mouth.

He needs plenty of exercise. However, he can happily spend hours in the backyard chillin and chasing shadows and reflections.

He would thrive in a home with an adult or older teen who loves to throw the ball every day.
