Our first was very low and we had a boy. On our second, baby was way high, her pregnancy was way different from our first, her taste buds too were way off from our first. So we were so sure we were having a girl this time and yet, pop, we got us another boy on last Labor Day.

I think you'll have a girl.

If it is a boy, I will let it be.

But if it is a girl, I am going to get the "other" ultra sound, just to "make sure" wink.gif

Based on some previous threads over the past few months, I say girl.

All the carrying high vs low is just another one of many old-wives tales that are about 50% accurate. After listening to my wife talk to everyone we know that has kids or is pregnant, I started to notice a pattern. I now have my own theory. So far, it seems to be true for the handful of women we've talked to.

The theory is based on the hormones flowing through your body. If you are having a girl, the extra estrogen will make you more emotional, have worse "morning sickness", and a couple of other estrogen symptoms.

If you are having a boy, the testosterone makes you have strange (sometimes violent or scary) dreams, get more frustrated and/or angry with people than normal (resulting in wanting to rip someone's head off rather than curl-up and cry), plus a couple of other testosterone symptoms.

That whole 'carrying high vs. carrying low' thing use to make me laugh. I am 5'2" - there's no where for the baby to go except straight out front!
I also had 2 inconclusive ultrasounds, and had kind of just convinced myself it was a boy, since I already had a boy, and couldn't imagine having a girl.

Surprise! I remember my mom saying, "It's a girl!" and I said, "Look again!".

It took my about 3 or so weeks to come up with a girl name (since I hadn't entertained any), and eventually bought some pink clothes.

Just be prepared for anything, if you don't know for sure.

Just my .02

Hmm--I'm still of a mind

Crave sweets it's a girl

Crave spicy it's a boy

Crave sweet and sour it's a girl that will be wild

Crave nothing at all, you'll never have a perfect child.

'course--I've always wondered--what about women carrying twins?
