Yet another black man the target of Trump's rage.      :beehive:

Trump slams Cummings as a 'brutal bully,' claims Baltimore district 'far worse' than southern border

:noyoudint:

https://thehill.com/...re-district-far

“Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place.”

Trump asserted that Cummings’s district, which encompasses downtown Baltimore, was the "worst run" in the U.S., claiming that the Maryland city was "corrupt" and that "no human being would want to live there."

Trump has a long history of racist comments,

the "birtherism" movement against Obama one of the most notable.

Why Donald Trump’s Racist Language Isn’t Debatable

Whether the president’s tweets about four Democratic congresswomen of color are bigoted cannot be decided solely by dictionary definitions.

https://www.theatlan...sswomen/594295/

It’s been that kind of week—though hardly the first of its nature in the Trump era—
when bigoted comments from the president     :BOO:      have dominated the national discourse,
and have led many to label the remarks as racist.
That includes Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats (along with a few Republicans)

Hey, and get this: To some people he's still a hero!         :joker:

Ummm, Baltimore IS one of the worst run cities.  So what, we're not allowed to criticize someone if they are black? Or Muslim? Or gay? Or we are then called racist? Or bigoted? Sorry, an asshat is an asshat REGARDLESS of ethnicity.

"Has led many to label his remarks as racist..."  Whatever. Those doing the labeling would call him/me racist for ANY position we have that doesn't fall onto their ideological plantation.

A more fitting title for this thread:

Trump racism, propaganda snowballing.

Remember when the left loved Trump (before he ran). Wasn't a racist then apparently. Then again, dems have never had a problem with racism. Klan member congressman, Schumer running blacks out of their homes, Farrakhan, The many racist reverends incl Jackson, Sharpton and Wright. Hey, maybe they only care about racism when it fits their narrative...

Trump's well-documented racism spans several decades, starting when he and his father made sure

that no minorities were allowed in their real estate holdings, and continuing to his properties,

such as Mar-A Lago resort, where blacks were denied membership.

Nice try, Joe, but alas, trying to prove Trump is not a racist is a lost battle.

Donald Trump’s long history of racism, from the 1970s to 2019

Trump has repeatedly claimed he’s “the least racist person.” His history suggests otherwise.

https://www.vox.com/...-racism-history

On the campaign trail, Trump repeatedly made explicitly racist and otherwise bigoted remarks, from calling Mexican immigrants criminals and rapists to proposing a ban on all Muslims entering the US to suggesting a judge should recuse himself from a case solely because of the judge’s Mexican heritage.

The trend has continued into his presidency.

This is all demonstrably FALSE. He referred to SOME illegals as rapists and criminals (which they are). He did NOT propose a "Muslim ban." He proposed a ban on 7 countries who could not VET their people. Many other Muslim countries were not banned. ANd yes, "conflict of interest" MAY apply if a judge sees himself as sympathizing with "immigrants" of Mexican heritage while deciding a case about Mexicans. Just as a judge COULD have conflict of interest adjudicating a case that he had a personal or vested interest in (whether political, financial or personal)

trump MAY be racist, but none of his ACTIONS lead me to believe so. Certainly, your weak and long ago discredited, warped perception (it is Vox after all) don't buttress your argument. How many black families have benefitted from this economy? How many black men are benefitting from prison reform? How many black families are benefitting from increased enforcement against illegals? Yeah, he sure is racist...  Try again.

Cummings is a total idiot..........   Trump is correct, the left does not like "correct".    Thus the protests by the left, not that Trump is not correct and true in what he said, they just do not like what he said, they hate the reality of their policies.  Baltimore, Chicago, NYC, LA, South Bend, DC...........   Yep.   All the usual suspects but one can not say so, not say the truth............    Chris

Yeah, it's those SLUM LORDS that charge high rent and don't maintain the housing.

Jared Kushner's Family Company Faces More Than 170 Baltimore Violations      :BOO:

Baltimore's biggest slumlord:  Jared Kushner.
Ohh! That's ironic!

The Beleaguered Tenants of ‘Kushnerville’

https://www.propubli...of-kushnerville

Tenants in more than a dozen Baltimore-area rental complexes complain about a property owner who they say leaves their homes in disrepair, humiliates late-paying renters and often sues them when they try to move out. Few of them know that their landlord is the president’s son-in-law.

Kushner’s largest concentration of multifamily units is in the Baltimore area, where the company controls 15 complexes in all — which, if you assume three residents per unit, could be home to more than 20,000 people.

Based on 30+ years in the trades, I can guarantee that the vast majority of section 8 residents have very little vested interest in maintaining their home or neighborhood.  The attitude of entitlement has grown substantially though.  Section 8 should be a TEMPORARY fix for those fallen on hard times, not a lifestyle.  The government should not be in the housing business. Heck, all these "homeless" housing projects are running 40-50k PER PERSON for homeless "shelter." SOmebody is getting fat off the taxpayer for a non-solution to a huge problem

Trump is still getting heat for calling Baltimore rat infested, but it was Animal Planet that pointed out the citys rat problem was so chronic, it is causing roads to collapse.

Baltimores rat problem is bad enough that at one point, rats tunneled so intensely beneath a particular area of pavement that when garbage collectors drove over it, their truck sunk up to its axles, reported the TV network. Rats in the vicinity took full advantage of the mishap and swarmed the truck, gorging on the garbage inside.

The network listed Baltimore number 3 on the Top 10 Worst Rat Cities in the World.

Is Animal Planet racist too?

Hmmm, Bernie called Baltimore a third world country, the mayor wanted to tear it all down and couldn't stand the stench but Trump gets the heat after decades of Democrat corruption? Puhlease..
