When I was reading Farleys reply about the oak book case and selling stuff on Craigs list I was wondering how many people here use it?
We have had great sucess. This year alone we have sold two cars, a campershell and truck bed liner, some roof racks and a hammock.
We think Craigs list rocks!

We use Craigslist all the time. We've sold plenty of items on it.

go to www.craigslist.com
find sacramento and click on it in the city listing (lower right hand side)
click on post to classifieds (upper left)
click on "for sale/wanted"
read and accept the terms
click on a category
Fill out the form. Dont forget to put a price and location (Folsom).
Add an image (button at the bottom of thepage)
They will send you a reply with a link and you click on the link and it will post the ad to craigs list

No charge, no need to subscribe or anything.
But remember to keep the email they send you with the link to your item so you can remove it after it sells (or change it).

Someone jump in if I have forgotton anything.

I agree with the sarge...it rocks! We sold some stuff, gave away a crappy old couch, and traded two lousy bikes for one decent one. So easy to post and delete and modify, etc. and there are plenty of people trolling so you get offers right away.

I used it quite a bit when I was helping my son find an appartment in Los Angeles (Hollywood area).

I have also put a couple of items in craigs list for sale. No luck yet.

A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

I agree with Farley. Adding a picture makes all the difference. One of the vehicles we sold was noticed by a lady in San Jose who wanted to help her daughter in Sacramento buy a car. They bought it the next day.

YOu also have the option of have return emails sent though an anonomyzer (is that a word ? ) so your actual email is not visible to prevent the email spam programs from collecting it.
We listed a phone number on the ad, but it is not required - But we got more calls than emails on the table... ( just do NOT list a Name)

They also have jobs listings and so many other things as well.
And there are hundreds of cities( areas) listed in several countries.

I do find the local Freecycle and sharecycle groups better for finding and giving Free stuff.

Cheers

We list jobs there and have had a pretty good response, though we still use monster and dice as well.

we received our first permit last week (Fire plans). we currently are awaiting plan check review (City and County). As soon as full construction starts, we will then have targeted opening date. COnstruction takes around 45-60 days total. I can say that it will be soon though. You'll have stuff way before your requested deadline.

How about a pic of some suggestions - a birthday that falls on valentine's day for a boy.
