On Saturday, September 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., antiques enthusiasts are invited to bring family treasures and garage sale finds for informal evaluation and identification during the 18th Annual Antique Evaluation Day on Sutter Street in Folsom. An impressive team of volunteer appraisers, covering a wide range of specialties, will offer collectors a unique opportunity to learn more about their antiques and collectibles. Appraisers will draw on years of experience in providing an estimate of current market value as well as a verbal identification and evaluation of pieces. This Year’s team of volunteer appraisers includes: RANDALL ABBOTT:  Asian & Middle Eastern Arts & Antiques; JIM & KAREN ALKONS: paintings, prints, water colors; DALE BAKER: Coins, Paper Ephemera, Post Cards, Correspondence & Letters, Vintage Photos, Historical Documents & Stamp Collections; GARY COX: “Generalist” specializing in Collectibles, Furniture, China & Political Items; JEROME EVANS: Tribal Art, including American Indian, African and Oceanic; NICK NICHOLSON: Stringed Musical Instruments; ROMAN OLEYNIK: Clocks, Pocket Watches, Watches & Jewelry; EMILY SCHELL: “Generalist”; GREG TRACY: Fire Arms, Military Memorabilia & Weapons; and BARB VELASCOS, “Generalist”.  Judy Becerril and Linda Setnik, both former Folsom Historic District Merchants will join the team of volunteers to direct patrons to appropriate appraisers. This year’s Evaluation Day is made possible with support from THE FOLSOM TELEGRAPH, Folsom Lake Bank, The Folsom Chamber of Commerce, Folsom Rotary Annes and Andy, The Rotary Club of Folsom and Karen’s Bakery Café. Patrons may bring up to 5 items per person for evaluation. Photographs with dimensions of oversized items may be submitted for evaluation.
