It's simple... you don't like it, take your park back. Sit in the dark with a group of neighbors and wait for the kids... Have bats and other things. When they show up chase em off. They will get the hint.

Don't waste the cops time.

Should they use the same size bat on the kids as they do with the speeders on the neighborhood streets or should they downsize?

Just kidding!

Do all of you have dementia? What did you do as kids? Act like the Nelsons or Cleavers? Didn't you hang out in packs, roaming the streets, and meeting at neighborhood parks or sandlots?

yeah...... but we did not DESTROY the park... or TAG it. Hanging out is one thing, when they want to make a MESS it is another.

Yeah, we did, but during the daytime.

And if we snuck out at night and got caught doing anything wrong, we'd get a whoopin'; and

Ninety-nine percent of the time the neighbor doing the complaining would know where you lived and who your mom and dad were; and

Back then mom and dad didn't make excuses for you. They grounded you and made you take responsibility for your actions; and

We ate dirt and liked it because we were grateful to have it; and ....

Dagnabit I forgot what I was going to say - darn dementia

oh heck yeah I did all that - but I didn't spray paint or vandalize those places - nor be out at those places past curfew (10pm)

its one thing to be out having fun, it's another to be a jerk destroying public property and being a nuisance late at night

Ditto,

Well I did occassionally violate curfew to go eat french fries and drink coffee at Sambo's.

also, I voted for "the kids" as who's responsible because it is the closest to my real choice. the real responsible party is the parents of those kids (I wanted to say punks but I've been warned to tone down my negativity).
I would rather be Backpacking

No!!!

I didn't hang out with people in packs when I was a teen. That was ans still is pretty damn lame.
A) stupid things happen more than three are hanging out.
B) I hated being a teen; why the hell would I want to hang out with a bunch of other teens?

Naw, really though--it never ocurred to me to make havoc with parks --because I saw them as beneficial for little kids--why screw with little kids?

I don't get how people are gonna destroy something that is meant for little people.

I fully agree, in fact, I'm the other vote out of the two votes "for the kids" as being responsible

Is T.P.ing considered vandalism? I was a cheerleader, and it was pretty much mandatory.
