And yes, I make my income from photography

In what way? Studio photography? Stock photo service? I'm interested.

I guess it was a case of kiddies playing with fireworks:

FOLSOM – Five juveniles were cited and released to their parents Wednesday evening after a two-alarm grass fire burned a backyard wooden play structure, authorities said.

No injuries were reported.

The fire, first reported about 4:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Rockport Circle, scorched 4 acres.

Authorities said the juveniles ignited the blaze while setting off "safe and sane" fireworks.

It took firefighters from the Folsom Fire Department and Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District about an hour and a half to extinguish the blaze.

Brilliance at it 's best. Lighting "safe & sane" fireworks in a dry field of dead grass.
I hope the parents gave them the WTF were you thinking lecture while slapping them upside the back of their head.
I would rather be Backpacking

Whoever provided them with the fireworks should also get the same lecture. Don't you have to be at least 18 to buy them?

I was just down to the fire station on Glenn Drive. My wife and I took a tray of goodies over to them last week. I was stopping back to pick up the tray. I talked to one of the firemen and they said they have at least two trucks out at the fires.

When I took the PAL class a couple of years ago we took a tour of the fire stations. They have one light green truck that belongs to the state, I think. Folsom crews man the truck and it has to go out when there are fires.

They are short staffed and I guess they did get called out a few times the night of the 4th because of idiots lighting off firewords where they shouldn't have.

Are those Borzois on your home page? Absolutely stunning.
It's a good thing the county limits me to 5 dogs.

Actually those are Silken Windhounds. They're like a Borzoi but a bit smaller. You've got several living in EDH, but it's still a pretty rare breed.

Dave

When I was really little, my mom raised and showed Afghan Hounds. They're still one of my most favorite breeds.
