Community: $10,000 reward offered for stolen church equipment

Between 8/31/14 and 9/7/14, thieves burglarized a steel storage container located on the campus of Folsom Middle School.  The thieves stole numerous items of audio and visual equipment, including projectors, speakers, amplifiers, screens and lighting which belonged to a local church.  Philadelphia Insurance and InterWest Insurance Services, Inc. have offered a ten thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves, and the recovery of the stolen items.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Folsom Police Detective Tim Galovich at (916) 355-7241.

Community: Citizen's information leads to the recovery of stolen church equipment, other stolen property, guns and drugs

Detectives from the Folsom Police Department searched a home on Wildomar Way in Carmichael on Monday afternoon. Folsom Police had requested information on Friday, and Philadelphia Insurance and InterWest Insurance Services, Inc. offered a $10,000 reward.  After receiving information from a citizen (who wishes to remain anonymous), police obtained a warrant for the home.  Inside the home, police recovered the audio and video equipment stolen from Bayside Church.  Detectives believe most of the equipment that had been stolen was recovered.

Police also found 2 stolen vehicles, an enclosed trailer and a watercraft, as well as a small quantity of methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms.  Detectives discovered numerous weapons, including 3 handguns, 2 rifles, an assault rifle and over 3000 rounds of ammunition.  The resident, 45 year old Brian Stockton, is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing the firearms and ammunition.

Stockton was booked into the Sacramento county jail and faces charges related to possessing the stolen property, drugs, ammunition and firearms.  Photos of the recovered property and the firearms seized are attached. The investigation is continuing and no additional details are available at this time.

I saw the nixle report that the items had been reported. Made my day. I laughed myself silly thinking about that guy ( more than likely his friend ) got reported within a few hours of an announcement of a reward.

I am positive this story made the cops pretty happy too. Resolved a theft and got a drug dealer off the streets. Proud of the Folsom coppers tonight!
