Hey folks,
I'm looking into getting some professional training and there isn't much around here. I'm considering the Practical Fundamentals class by Gray Guns: http://www.graygunst...ing.com/10.html
This class has received great reviews by Sigforum members and seems to be in high demand. They are considering offering a session in the Sac area if there is enough interest. What do you think? Can we get a MyFolsom intact class together (probably at Sac Valley range)?

Contact Don Wyman, he's a local who's a certified NRA instructor.

We met him at the Sacramento Shooting Center and he really taught us a lot and we had a bunch of fun. We hadn't arranged for anything, he just happened to be there the day I brought my family to the range for some practice and he jumped right in and helped everyone out and even let us try his special big dollar target guns which were fun to get to try out.
You wouldn't believe how much better our targeting got after an hour or so hanging out with Don at the range - give him a yell
I think he's there every Wed and Friday

Thanks davburr. I don't usually go to Sac but I'll give him a call when I get a chance and see if he can help me get better. This is mostly a hobby and I'd like to try out some IDPA or similar competitions someday.
But this is also looking forward to years later given trends I'm seeing today: http://www.sacbee.co...ry/1185249.html
Punks do this because they are fairly sure that citizens won't shoot back. My buddies in Texas assure me that punks there are a lot more careful because they know that citizens around them can and possibly will shoot back. If someone attacks me, my family or friends, I may go down but I'm taking the punk with me.

Thanks for the great tip. Seems very well organized. The 75% discounted 4-day training plus the free XD sounds like an excellent deal. Will definitely follow-up on this.

hahah just posted to you the very same thing in the burger thread!
wanted to see if anyone's interested in going to the range (sacto shooting center) on the 29th or 30th - then off to burger tasting afterwards or the other day...
