I guess the next huge problem is clearing all that cement, dirt, and other debris from the bottom of the main spillway, and then do the repairs this summer. Oh, and also fortify the emergency spillway. And it won't be cheap to do that stuff.

Now that the massive snowpack in the Sierras is beginning to melt, what's gonna happen? The erosion under the main spillway seems to be moving upwards? Not good. Story below.

Uh oh. Say it ain't so! I guess they found ASBESTOS in the spillway rock! Quick, someone call Hazmat, or the EPA, or Gov. Brown. They need to rope-off that spillway...and even shut it down! Article below.

I could have told you that just by looking at the rocks from my computer.... Blue green Serpentine with associated faults, between the green and the brown rocks especially.... Asbestos is very common here in Folsom and there, all over the foothills really... Not a big deal when you consider the people worried about it and making regulations then go off and take a smoke break......
