My dad currently lives alone and is getting up there in age and is not in the greatest of health.  He lives in West Roseville and I would like to relocate him closer to us in the near future.  I'm looking for any recommendations for minimum-assisted living facilities here in Folsom area.

My daughter used to work at Creekside Oaks. Check them out.

I took a tour of Oakmont, which is pretty luxurious.

We had a friend who lived at Creekside Oaks (since passed) and I know that he loved it there.  My husband joined him for some of the community breakfast and lunch times, and said that it really is a nice place to be.

I've visited Oakmont, too, and it's very nice (from a visitor's perspective, anyway).  Can't offer any feedback on how the residents like it, though.

My grandma (with dementia) LOVED Park Folsom on Wales Dr, across from City Hall. They provided breakfast & lunch everyday, activities, large rooms, intercoms in case of emergencies, weekly housekeeping & linen laundering, local shuttle. My grandma had a studio for $1145 a month and it had a kitchenette with fridge, and enough room for a queen bed, loveseat, coffee table, dresser, 2 nightstands, TV stand. Sue & Renee are so helpful and the residents tend to look out for each other. They do not provide any medical help, but have a shuttle for doctor appointments, bank & store trips, some "field trips". My grandma hated to go but she fell and needed convalescent help or she'd still be there. It's PERFECT for those who need someone to watch out for them.

Some of the newer places offer  a menu of   care levels based on need  and not just one standard.

Try the new place on Creekside near the corner of E. Bidwell    and  soon  the place going up across from Safeway on Prairie City.

Thanks for all the suggestions.  Will definitely check out Creekside Oaks.  We had looked at the new place (Oakmont) across from the hospital but looks to upscale for what my dad would like.  Very $$$ as well.

My grandmother was at Park Folsom many years back and liked it there

Folsom500 - By minimum assisted living I mean just that.  My grandmother was at Park Folsom for many years while she was still able to do many things on her own.  In the last 9mo of her life they could no longer care for her there and we had to move her to a "fully" assisted living facility across from American River College.
