  • Interests:My interests vary. However, they focus mainly on my husband and children. Getting my boys through college and creating a good life for themselves. I enjoy anything creative, artistic and thought provoking. Music ranges from Andrea Boccelli to some hiphop groups. I enjoy dancing, singing and life in general. Former U.S. Marine - pretty conservative in my opinions but always open to listening to what others have to say.

17. We have a GREAT Farmer's Market in many little niche's around downtown, Greenhaven/Pocket Area, Davis, etc.

18. There is a Thursday Night Band at Cesar Chavez Park downtown that is free. It is next to a cute little cafe and La Bou.

21. The Winery's up the Hill (Placerville).

22. Apple Hill is a great drive in the fall where you can watch the leaves turn color, pick up an awesome Apple Pie and visit all the Apple farms & pick your own apples. I love taking my kids up there! You can also pick and cut down your own Christmas trees there as well.

23. Camping at Folsom Lake ~ This is cool now that the water level is up.

24. Folsom Zoo and it's Ice Cream Nights.

25. Shakespear in the Park at South Land Park.

26. Freeport Bakery ~ You need to visit them at least once to enjoy their fine cakes and baked goods.

27. Vic's Ice Cream Parlor ~ this is a great stop during the summer. Their ice cream dishes are unbelievably delicious & huge!

There are so many wonderful things about Sacramento County and it's neighbors. You just have to be adventurous and seek them out. smile.gif

they usually do it on the Matthew McKinley, but it's almost always done through large groups (fraternities, sororities). I wouldn't be surprised if they did this regularly for the general public though. I'd love to see more riverboats that had regular cruises for the general public, especially during the day.
