I agree with 4gF -- it will be unfortunate to lose a key establishment of investigative journalism, lacking as it may be.While I disagree with the bias behind many of their articles, they do upon occasion have notable pieces of investigative journalism.
It seems like those supportive of more conservative views would agree that the press is a key element of keeping an eye on our government. Ironically, it seems that most primary media behavior is just the opposite. Rather than expose political movements contrary to the greater good, the media positions these items with favorable bias and/or obfuscation. Unfortunately, I feel the Bee falls in this camp.
If the Bee disappears, then perhaps another will replace it, filling a void with a more professional journalistic acumen. If there is a market, a business will enter if money is to be made. Businesses not meeting market needs should be allowed to fail.
