Attempt Kidnapping in Cameron Park

An attempted kidnapping occurred in the area of Greenwood Rd. in Cameron Park. The victim
was a 13 year old female who was walking on Greenwood Rd. A white male driving a dark blue
Mustang drove up next to the victim and started talking to her. The male subject stopped his
vehicle, exited and ran after the victim. The male chased the victim to an apartment complex
where he lost sight of the victim. The victim was not harmed.
The suspect is a white male, between 25-30 years. He is of slight build, clean shaven, unknown
height, and weight. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black hooded sweat shirt and dark
colored baseball cap. He wore the hood over his head covering the cap.
The suspect’s vehicle is a dark blue Mustang convertible. The convertible top is black in color.
The back window is tinted and the license plate is believed to have a 4 in it.
The suspect’s vehicle is thought to have been seen in the area over the past two weeks. The
Sheriff’s Office is requesting that anyone with information please call (530) 621-6600.

Sad to see.. but it seems my dream town of Folsom has been ridden with crime lately! Lets hope this streak goes away.

I hope someone shoots that guy dead if they catch him - we don't need freak piles of garbage like that existing in our society

sure would be nice to have an estimate on the year of manufacture. Mustangs have changed a lot over the years and gross decade estimate would help in knowing what to look for.

I'll second that. I sincerely hope that this guy gets killed before he's able to carry out what he's trying to do.

It's apparent that license plates are totally useless these days in trying to catch a criminal. How can people get such a good description of everything except the one thing that can catch the guy in about an hour?
Maybe the schools should start teaching kids to read plate #'s as almost everything else people recall ends up as useless information.

not everyone is standing in front or right behind the car... some times all they get is a side view, for which a small license plate makes no difference.

It's probably kind of hard to get a license number when you're running for your life away from the car
