It's part of the life cycle of a major corporation. Hire, fire, rehire as they are understaffed, then fire. Seeing as though they employ 150,000 worldwide, maybe they'll see fit to fire a bunch of incompetent customer service and tech support reps in India.

WOW... up to 25,000 people? I thought it was bad that Cal ISO was cutting 150!

The REAL question is ... will this have any downside impact on Intel ?

Of course their upside might be to get some well qualified people in certain areas ( excepting of course the deadwood that HP is getting rid of )

You never know. Any tech company laying off people is bad news. Intel is doing pretty well nowadays so I don't anticipate anything here.
