I think I'm going to get one. The driving force right now is that my wife love to play music and concert videos on Youtube and friends tell me that these devices are great for that.
I'm also curious though, as to what the 'tons of content' people are talking about and how the device actually works.
Last year there was an article stating that people were cancelling their cable TV and going for these streaming devices instead.
If true, how are they receiving and delivering the content? Are they receivers? Antennae? Is the content free? If not free, then why not keep cable?
What do you have?
I'm leaning toward the Roku stick because CNN says it has over 1200 apps and easy search for content, but takes 30 seconds to boot up Netfllx and Youtube. 30 seconds doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
Your thoughts?
