If there are any seniors who sit at home and look out of the window, perhaps they would enjoy the fun at Folsom's Senior Center  M-F.  Personally I go 4 or 5 times a week.  The center offers a lot of camaraderie for people from 65  yrs, and up.  The oldest member is 101, and she attends twice a week.  There is always a full schedule.  I especially enjoy being a member of the "Off Key Singers."  However, there are a lot of activities for everyone.  There have even been a few later in life marriages.  Mostly everything is free including movie day, pizza day, monthly parties, and all the conversation and games you would want.  So if you want to get out of the house, give the center a try.  Lots of friendly people attend daily.

Several of us no longer drive, but if you live in Folsom, Dial A Ride  will pick you up, and bring you to the center.  Later they will come for you and take you home.  Some care takers come with clients or bring them and pick them up.  Don't let a little dementia stop you, you won't be alone.  :KOOLAID:

Thanks Folsom Senior!

Although I'm not there yet age-wise, I do frequent 48 Natoma because it also houses Park and Rec offices, painting and ceramic class rooms, and our fantastic city art gallery.

One of our newest members at the Folsom Senior Center is Bob Addobati, a Pearl Harbor survivor that lost a leg during WW II.  He is usually at the morning coffee talk sessions , which in my opinion are one of the most fun and interesting events to attend.  He is full of stories to tell.  Coffee talk is M - F starting at 9:00 a.m.

Below are a few web links that we found today about him.

We had our Hawaiian Luau Party on FRIDAY.  August 15, 2014.  Over 100 people came and enjoyed the event.  A ukulele band and dancers of maybe 30  (mostly seniors) provided the entertainment.  Gifts, awards, and other things were also given out.

If you have an older person in your family, bring them to the Open House on Saturday, Sept.6, 10:00 am to 2:00 p,m,
