SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) -- A T-38 Talon jet that took off from Beale Air Force Base went off the runway at Mather Airport after two of its tires blew out Wednesday afternoon.
Two pilots were doing routine flying missions known as “touch-and-go’s” when one of the aircraft's tires blew during the landing. Crosswinds pushed the aircraft, which caused a second tire to go out, officials said.
No injuries were reported and there was only minor damage to the aircraft.
Safety and maintenance crew members from Beale Air Force Base were at Mather Airport working on the plane Wednesday afternoon.
An investigation into what caused the first tire to go out is under way.

A VETERAN
Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life".
That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
